Motor was built by Andy @ A&A Corvette with compression ratio of 9-1 to support about 10 pounds of boost.. Just finished making intake spacer plates yesterday to mount an LS3 intake to LS7 cylinder heads.. setting up the supercharger on this motor has been a pain in the A@$#!! Also had to make a crank pulley for the Billet Specialties trac system

Sweet project! I dig the rear bumper guards.

Tom Fuehrer 09-10-2009 10:46 AM

Outstanding start. I really like the firewall - not too flat.

Do you have any more pictures of the brake/clutch pedal mounting? Did you need to add metal to reinforce the firewall?

Thanks - I'm looking forward to seeing this one completed!

Tom

DOOM 09-11-2009 09:59 AM

The firewall is perfect.. Is it DSE? We need to see more of this car!!!:hail:

waynieZ 09-11-2009 05:06 PM

We machined a 1/4 inch thk plate to mount master cylinders on the firewall with a radius.. then we fabricated support bars that ties pedal assembly to underdash structure into steering column drop.. I will post pics later this week when I get the car back from plumbing

We wanted to try something different on this build with trying to keep away from a flat firewall.. The center recessed section was something that I got from the Kyle B car that Detroit Speed is currently building... The pass side of the firewall is a heater delete plate I got from Detroit Speed & worked it into the firewall.. Driver side master cylinder plate is machined in house.. I will get pics of the machined cage nut covers, steering column cover & coil pack reloction mounts this week!

Looks great! I am quite partial to the Forgeline wheels (I have 2 sets).

Do you plan on using the GTO seats front and rear? It looks a "little" cozy in there. I am assuming that the rear seat is the GTO rear. I was thinking of doing the same thing in my 69 Camaro, but the seats look like they might take up too much room. Or is it just the angle of the picture on the first page that makes them look so tight?

Thanks...

Cris@JCG 09-27-2009 07:13 PM

We are going to use the seats from the GTO.. The front has plenty of room but in the "REAR" none!!! The rear seats are more for looks than anything else.. The owner of this car is a pretty tall guy so we had to move front seats back some.. I like the power functions of the front seats.. We are using seats, dome lights, visors, front & rear seat belts, parking brake lever, & some of the console out of the GTO with Marquez Design panels

redfire69 09-29-2009 02:59 PM

Really nice build! Even the little things like the billet cover/bracket over the SF mounts for the inner WW brackets...cool!

Steve1968LS2 09-29-2009 05:58 PM

I need to get my Camaro over to Bent so he can work his magic on my lines.. such nice work!

Can you put -AN fitting off the Magnacharger for the intercooler lines? I don't see why not and that would look killer with hardlines or even a black nylon braid.
