Wheel choice
 

These are two of the wheels I have in mind and was just wondering which one you guys like better. I can get the Billet Specialties for $200 cheaper for the set over the Centerlines. Just looking for some thoughts.

That's a tough one... the Centerlines appear just a bit beefier...

After looking at the pics several times, the Billet Specialties give the wheels a larger appearance. There is less material on the outer rings so it would give an 18" wheel the illusion that they were actually 19". I think I like the Billet Specialties better for that reason alone and you save $200.
2 good detailed pics would help a lot. Those arent the greatest comparison pics.

Adam because of the size limit that is the best my non computer skills could do on the Billet Specialties.

Between those 2, I guess I'd have to vote for the Centerlines.

Here you go side by side comparisons. I still choose the Billet. They will also let you see your disks better.

Thanks Adam, On the Billet web site they cost $371 for 17x9.5 and you can get them for Nostagia wheel for $296. The Centerlines are $358 for the 17x9.5. I am on a budget but still want a nice looking wheel.

Billet specialties makes a higher quallity wheel IMO than centerline

The billet specialties are probably a better quality product in terms of material, runout etc. But I prefer the look of the Centerlines. They look more substantial.

I agree with Travis, BS better quality wheel than Centerline. Also the polish on those wheels are first rate.

Also look on www.bcforged.com I had a set of those and they were great and very strong. Any offset you want for no extra charge

Just to muddy the decision process

I like the more "open" nature of the Billet Specialties wheel.. and they are cheaper..

Any weight difference between the two?

Just from looks I'd go Billet.

You had it down to 2 wheels..that is too easy. I can't get the BCForged link to work. www.billetwheels.com

Mine were the 2 piece forged billets. The BC09's, I had a polished lip and a machined center.

They look much, much better in real life.

Good luck in your search...How is texas treating you? I am guessing you only miss Fl when it is not hurricane season.

Thanks Payton, Texas is treating us pretty good so far. So far I think I am leaning towards the Billet Specialties because of the great price and customer service I am getting through Howard Cook at Nostagia Wheels.

we have 3 sets of Billet specialties in the shop right now from there lower line of wheels to there new profile series....evry set has always showed up in perfect condition...no balancing issues what so ever they make a top notch product good luck :thumbsup:

Thanks Travis, that sure is comforting to know. It is terrible when you are on a ZERO $ budget and trying to find a good product.

Boy those look alot like my Intro Pentias...I like the Billet Specialties best out of the two......

Well guys I did it. I broke down and got the Billet Specialties. I couldn't pass up the great deal that Howard Cook at Nostalgia Wheel gave me. I went ahead and got the tire package so the mounting and balancing plus shipping is FREE. I can not say enough about the customer service I received from Howard and i would highly reccomend anyone in the market for a set of wheels contact them. Now all I have to do is wait 3-5 weeks. Just in time for X-mas :unibrow: Thanks to all you guys for your help.

Thanks Travis, chosing a wheel has got to be one of the most stressful things to decide on. Especially since money is tight but I still wanted to find something of quality and price. Now I hope I finally have a wheel that the majority doesn't have on a 69 camaro. Don't get me wrong, 5 years ago when I put the TTII's on not many people had them. But I like many others started to get tired of seeing every car out there with them. Anyway i am excited to finally have the choice behind me and can't wait to get them on.
