Pro touring wheels

Guys, having a custom 69 Mach 1 pro touring car built with a tubbed rear and shockwave suspension. We are at the moch up stage and time to purchase wheels.

I've looked all over the net and cannot find that right wheel for this car.

Anyone have links to a custom wheel site or suggestions?

Thanks...

Boy you guys are fast! Thanks for the response.

Here's the deal. This car will be a one-off custom so the tire/wheel combo must be unique and mostly COOL.

So hook me up with the right wheel venders.

I've been thru the web site and just haven't seen a wheel that's quite right for the car being built.

What kind of wheel are you looking for...?
That might make the search a whole lot easier.Do you have a favorite style in mind?

That's a real difficult question to answer.I guess my answer to your question if I see it and like it...that's the wheel.Sorry I'm being so vauge but that is really a hard question to answer directly:(

The car will be a custom 69 Mach 1 with a 1000hp engine Boss 598ci hemi.Custom front and rear suspension sitting on Shockwave air ride.So the wheel combination has to be just perfect to fit this car.

Maybe people could show off their wheels in this thread.

Are you looking for something that would have a modern twist on a period Mustang wheel or something all together different?

Do you have any design in mind for the look you're after?

SW's Mustang is the sickest '69, he ran Fikse wheels:

I bought some forgeline wheels from Frank at Prodigy customs. Very happy with them and they only took 2-3 weeks for a custom wheel delivered. They look even better in person then on the net. They also have a large selection of finishes. http://www.forgeline.com/products/ac...nter-finishes/

HOLOHAN'S HOT ROD SHOP 09-24-2009 03:51 PM

Take a look at the new Pro-Touring series wheel from Billet Specialties. They have 4 designs to date. They are really a good looking wheel, cool designs and finish. They are not on their site yet but just call them or take a look at their ad in the latest GoodGuys Gazette.

Great way to explain it.Absolutly,"a modern twist on a period Mustang".I like everything Coddington and Foose does but I don't see a wheel on their web site that fits the bill for this car and that totally amazes me.

Your right.Engine, transmission, suspension, body modifications, interior were all easy decisions to make.I really thought the most difficult decision would be color but it wasn't.It's the wheels.

Poor wheel choice can make or break a high end car.

If it makes any difference guys, remember the car will be tubbed to fit HUGE tires and cool wheels.

Lets keep the ideas coming:thumbsup:

What I'd do is I'd have Mike Curtis (Yes, he's the same guy that used to work for Boyd) build me a set to my liking. If you can dream it he can materialize it for you.

(Just contact him and tell him what you are after)

The Red Vette???? The one built on American Hot Rod?

If so...... contact EVOD Wheels...... It's his car. He (Shawn) works with Mike Curtis.
