vw reflex silver and Mercedes silver are my some of favorites I use. Joe :)

depending on what you're after, but you can use straight toner from paint mixing system, for bright reflective effect, use fine aluminum toner, for more rich color with some character, use coarse aluminum, don't forget to mix with binder

Hey T-Man, a true silver? Or a kind of pewter silver? They had a what I thought was a pretty pewter silver in 69&70 on Camarosthat they kept as a option till 74 I think....Was a really good looking though. Just a thought.

The T-man 10-24-2009 03:19 AM

Yes, Cortez silver was a factory color option on Camaros in 70 and several other cars within a few years before and after 1970.

Google 1970 Chevelle cortez silver. You should come up with a lot of good examples. Another really nice silver is GT Silver Metallic on the 2009 Porsche Boxter and 9 series cars.

1969 GM Cortez silver PPG paint code 2059. That is the color of my camaro. I would post a picture but it is still being restored. Actually being restored by one of the sponsers on here Route 66 Motorsports www.rt66motorsports.com Cortez silver is clean and looks great indoors and outdoors. Thats just my opinion.

I agree. Cortez Silver looks great anytime. It never gets old either. It's a classy color that never goes out of style.

I am going with Blade Silver metallic off the newer C6 for the lower half of my two tone. It came out fairly recently and replaced machine silver that came on them.
Here are some comparison shots between the two: http://www.corvetteblogger.com/index...Machine-Silver
