I owned a black saphire '08 -- lowered - exhaust - 20" Forgiato Martellatos... In fact - I blasted it to '07 SEMA and back along with my buddies black saphire M6... We hammered them hard on every back road between Seattle and LV... Not a bad road car... but...

I H A T E D that car... gutless POS around town... herky jerky transmission... no way to drive it "nice" at slow speeds. The gutless part was the worst...

If you could blast it to 8250 on every shift... it was "okay" -- but a complete lack of torque. I'll take torque over HP numbers any day. I was happy to see it go - at about a 40K loss. Oh -- did I mention they don't hold their resale value either?? LOL

It looks like its equipped with paddle shift but they still insisted on using console shifting.

I hardly ever use the paddle shifters in mine. The console shifter seems much more natural.

Greg, sorry to hear you disliked yours so much. I'm on my second one and love every minute behind the wheel. I've had no problem driving it smoothly.

I've been driving BMW's since 1976 (started with a 2002)... and currently own a 650i Convertible (that I L O V E)... and have nothing but good things to say about BMW's... but that M5 and I did not see eye to eye. LOL

I truly couldn't get rid of it fast enough.

I'm a T O R Q U E guy... give me bottom end grunt every time I touch the throttle... don't make me have to rev it up to feel I've got some motor there.. And BMW makes a great automatic - and they have killer 6 speeds - so why they can't get that dumbass "not an auto and not a stick" transmission figured out is beyond me. I can drive a stick WAY smoother than this thing shifts. And if you're going to drive an automatic - then just give me an automatic!

That's just my opinion... and so far -- I'm thinking the resale on these shows more people think like I do, than not.

I'm glad you like yours! They are a very nice automobile. But not ready for prime time in my opinion.

I am kinda partial to viper V 10's. You want to talk about low end grunt, over 600 lbs to the wheels, after a few mods on my buds 2008 ACR.
