Still one of my favorite Rushforth ideas is the hood.Nice NOVA

CRCRFT78 10-08-2009 08:44 PM

Speaking of the hood, wasn't that in a magazine or somewhere on how they fabricated it? I seem to think I saw it somewhere else before. Nice Nova BTW.

krptonite 10-08-2009 08:46 PM

Wow Awesome Project. I looked at all 81 pics last night. I can't wait to see more.

street3285 10-09-2009 10:20 AM

Great looking Nova and I really like the hood.

lowfatrat 10-09-2009 01:32 PM

Thanks for all the positive feedback! As you know it helps with keeping the process moving forward.

Like to see all the Nova builds/supporters comming out of the wood work!

Street3285, can't wait to see more photos of how yours turns out. I wrestled with what subframe to go with. I noticed Fesler posted on how to stuff in 335's, whish I would have seen that a bit earlier.

More photos added to PhotoBucket of subframe connectors, and more hood build photos.

Yes, hood build was in Chevy Rumble Mag.

Boost piping, inner coolers, core support photos to come!

lowfatrat 10-09-2009 01:36 PM

Sorry, this may help.

Haven't made much progress lately, but it will get there. Seeing your car is some motivation to get working again. I will be watching this thread.

Yeah, 335's would have been nice, but the 305's still look good.

rjsjea 10-09-2009 07:49 PM

Good looking build,

MarkM66 10-10-2009 04:53 AM

Very nice.

I remember seeing this awhile back, maybe it was on pt.com .

68MaroSam 10-11-2009 10:09 PM

Yeah, 335's would have been nice, but the 305's still look good.

This thing looks sick, we had to do a lot to fit the 345/30 19 in the rear and in the end it was worth it but it was a nightmare. This is going to be one nice car when finished. If you have any questions just shoot me a PM.

BBC71Nova 10-16-2009 03:41 PM

That's a lot of work for subframe connectors. Gotta be the nicest I think I've ever seen.

John

syborg tt 10-16-2009 08:26 PM

I L O V E the intake on this! And the Rushforth hood design... Killer - just killer!

MarkM66 10-17-2009 05:48 AM

You should make those intakes for resale. Looks great!

Sorry it's been a while. Updates are a bit hard when you mix in SEMA...the inspiration show!

Here are the lower four link mounts to handle the ~800hp. Quadra Link lower arms from DSE, mounts replace the factory front leaf spring mounts.

Photos are a tease, all others are on Photobook due to size limitations.

Inner coolers on the way. This will start the piping and cooling up front. Should be fun! :_paranoid

HOLOHAN'S HOT ROD SHOP 11-16-2009 11:30 AM
