this guy thinks a 40 year old tach is accurate a 8K
saw a couple car videos on youtube (was in the mood). Ran across a couple videos of this moron. This one in particular. This nimrod thinks this accurate 39 year old tach show 8K on a hyd. 540BB. Yea and no valve float either... When you try to even explain why the tach is not accurate then they want to argue and try to explain what it would take for the 540 to be able to turn 8k.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nmUX...eature=related ooooooohhh and then his Camaro with a 540 and a duel plane edelbrock manifold has "800HP on motor and 1000hp on a 250 shot of nos... yea and I bet is has a 3/4 race cam too... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbQAG...eature=related I don't know why this guy pissed me off, but I don't hang around car guys much anymore. not all but many just make up the crap about their cars, engines and BS stories..... I know people take pride in their cars, but gosh, tell the truth.... Just Like the time a few years ago a guy and his Nova braggin about his 355 "500hp" engine with a big "3/4 race cam and racing heads (heads were stock iron).... I don't care if people guess about HP, but the was a guy talking about his 383 chevy with 800HP no nos with a 850 holley.... Ohhh wel thats my rant today.... I woke up grumpy this morning, I probably should go take a nap... thanks guys for letting me rant.... Blessings, AMS |
$200,000 camaro LMAO
|
 yea and I bet is has a 3/4 race cam too...
You forgot the Nitro Boosters too, 3/4 cam and Nitro Boosters! HAHA |
don't get me started on that moron. He trolls my youtube videos left and right.
He posted in a big red video I uploaded and said his camaro with a 540 merlin does 200mph no problem. on BFG Comp TAs.... He also posted in a Drift video I uploaded involving the world drift champ doing a rolling 360 at around 50mph in REAL tight quarters and then hitting the apex of the next turn perfectly. he posted in that video saying he did it at an autocross once and everyone clapped. :_paranoid I eventually had to delete all his comments from my videos after his friend came in and told me that his camaro is 10x the camaro mine is, and that he could whoop my ass on any roadcourse.... With BFG Comp TAs... |

Thats interesting.... I never registered on youtube before until today. I like to checkout and search chevelles and camaro for enjoyment and ideas for my Chevelle. I saw his videos and his followers were like zombies over this guy. I don't mind people exagerating, but this guy is pure full of poo. It just ticked me off to hear this kind of intentional lies. I don't clain to know it all either, but I have been around the block a few times. Your right about the 200mph BFG TA's..... Them 15's makes them faster... Blessings, AMS |
Here's how I know a guy that KNOWS and a guy that's full of the bulla...
BS version --- "Yeah it makes 600hp" REAL GUY version --- "it made 523 rwhp and 497 rwtq @ 6200 rpm's" Note the difference? Real numbers with exact data -- and "out of my ass" numbers made up because they added up all the manufacturers "claims". God I hate those guys...:woot: |
Oh --- forgot another tell tale sign of "bs guy" vs "been there guy"
BS guy --- "it runs 10.90's" Been there guy -- "my best time was 10.92 @ 134.6" And the BS guy did it on "my street tires".... Yep - because you don't own anything else!  |
I have a Chevette that does 7's in the 1/4. It has one of the jet thrusters off Wonder womans invisible jet. Top speed is well over 250mph. I can take that Camaro any time.
The bad part about the engine is trying to find the invisible tools while I'm on the creeper under the car. That guy is a douche. 200k on that Camaro? Both cars top out at 200mph? |

Pretty pathetic. The muscle car crowd is filled with guys like that. They think just because they stuff a big cubic inch motor in a car, they've got the fastest car on the planet. Until it has to turn or brake. If I recall, hes running drum brakes and stock disks up front too with a 600hp 540... Nice. |
You can spin anything to 8,000rpms. Because, I mean c'mon, who doesn't like valvefloat or coilbind?

Yup! Yup! 'specially when ya got them special "pink" rods!!! |

I told him a few months ago to get rid of the pizza cutters. All that car will do is burnouts I'm hear to tell you. A 540 and 275 bfg ta's. LOL
|
I am wondering where he gets any of his numbers. Now, I am a total idiot when it comes to guessing power based on chosen components .But how does he figure his horsepower and his top speed numbers? Is he doing some math with gear ratios and tire diameters and engine rpm? Because that does not even seem to add up. But then again I may be doing that wrong myself.
The big question I have is how on earth (or any other planet) did he spend 200k on that Camaro???:wow: |
Quote:
2) He didn't There is my math on that situation, but what do I know, I am only an engineering major and do lots of math all day. |
Haha, What ever makes a guy sleep at night I guess:rofl:
|
Did you notice the tach stops at 7k....and he has no fan on the puller side. I bet it runs nice and cool in the summer. How about that fuel pump, you can hear that thing a mile away. I normally don't like to bash thi smuch but he is so full of **** it's coming out his ears. :unibrow:

Guy talks crap all over youtube. Hes a clown, and if you tell him hes full of it, he'll have his friends troll you. He compared his car to big red  |

Well math it is then!! LOL
ASSuming a 26.6 inch tire diameter ASSuming a .82 final drive ASSuming a 3.73 gear ratio Engine Speed (RPM) Speed (MPH) 8000 RPM 206.98 MPH 7500 RPM 194.05 MPH 7000 RPM 181.11 MPH 6500 RPM 168.17 MPH 6000 RPM 155.24 MPH 5500 RPM 142.30 MPH 5000 RPM 129.36 MPH 4500 RPM 116.43 MPH 4000 RPM 103.49 MPH 3500 RPM 90.56 MPH 3000 RPM 77.62 MPH Now -- I've personally redlined my Nomad at 6000 rpm in overdrive with the above rear gear ratio -- calculated speed 163... and I'm here to tell you that is F A S T... and I've redlined my M5 in top gear - and that was FASTER... the heads up display read 170 - and have a buddy with me that was watching the speedo etc. We were both scared... I hammered it there and immediately backed out of it. I also know that it takes some SERIOUS preparation to hammer 200 mph... and live to tell about it! LOL |

200 mph car and little to no safety equipment....you can't fix stupid!!
|
I've come to realize over the past couple of years that generally people that routinely post on youtube are the very, very bottom of the internet pile of idiots.

the music is the absolute best in this video of his. also my favorite is when he says in the original video with his vette "the 700 watt stereo sounds good even at 170mph with the windows down" |
has anyone worked out the CdA for a camaro, and what power you'd need to hit 200?
|
Well -- the whole deal is kind of sad... Because this guy obviously likes "cars"... but is so backwoods that there's no helping him. The crap he's driving and the hp he "potentially" has to work with is just an accident waiting to happen.
Having said that -- he needs to watch some timed mile trials - where there are SERIOUS supercars that can't make the 200 mph club... and the ones that do are so excited that they do the Steve Ballmer monkey dance... This stock appearing Camaro... sitting up nice and high - with tires I used to use on my 1956 Ford Pickup truck (actually then they were "wide ovals" back in 1969)... would be FLYING once he got past 150 or so... There'd be so much air UNDER the car! He'd be so scared he'd never do it again. There's a REASON he THINKS he's hit 200mph - and it's because at 140ish it FEELS LIKE IT. LOL |
ROGUE --
That's where he got his "ideas" from... he saw this same video (Big Red) and figures "mines just exactly like that one, only better".... He's also seen some high zoot Camaros cross the block at BJ -- and that's where he gets his $200K number from - because if they sold for 125K "mines way better than those POS cars". Like his other "numbers" he pulled them straight from where the sun don't shine. How many times have we all heard this? Once per show we go to - at least? :willy: :faint:  |
I'd like to see an itemized bill for his installations costs for the 1st time the 540 was installed.

With my wheel/tire setup and the TKO600, theoretical top speed is 194mph but getting to that speed with the aero and overdrive will require a lot of power. I dyno'd at 440rwhp. Adding a trans cooler as well so... I'm gonna guess I need more power. Likely 500-600rwhp. |

He even went as far as saying my car isn't HALF the car his is. Other than the 540, his car is basically stock, a pretty typical backyard build. Ignorance is bliss I suppose. |

BTW I just wanted to compliment you on your car. Its all business and I like it a lot. Don't think I ever posted in your build thread because I was busy at the time. Hit the track  |

It was hilarious watching it - and I sent the link to my 22 year old who had some choice comments about the guy... :hail: :hail:  |
hmm, his first video is 600hp, the second video is 1000hp!?!?! oh and i love that 500ft" burnout lol
