D.S.E. open house

Anyone going to Kyle's open house?

Stuart Adams 10-25-2009 03:53 PM

Would love too. Send the leer.

wiedemab 10-25-2009 07:13 PM

I won't be making the trip to Charlotte this year, SEMA instead for me. My dad will be there in his black '67 Chevy II. He's made the trip in his car for about 6 or 7 years now.

Enjoy, the open house is always a great time!

tones2SS 10-26-2009 08:21 AM

I would LOVE to go to DSE's open house and see the shop, products and builds first hand. That is a great running shop!
Too far for me though, unfortunately.:(

RPM HOTRODS 10-26-2009 08:51 AM

Some of the guys from the shop and I will be there. Brown Model A and 69 Dse treatment Camaro Big Block car.

Stuart Adams 10-31-2009 03:56 PM

How was it?

wiedemab 10-31-2009 07:05 PM

I haven't heard from anyone. My dad caught the flu really bad this past week (still not over it), so he didn't get to go.

Hopefully they had good weather.

Freefall 11-01-2009 07:21 PM

They had a pretty good turn out. There was a lot of nice cars in the parking lot and some really nice projects under way. There was an amazing 69 being built for someone in AZ but they wouldn't allow any pictures of it. I can't wait to that one when it's finished.

Payton King 11-02-2009 07:47 AM

that was Stuarts bad ride

The place was packed. It appeared everyone left from the Goodguys show and came by for free BBQ. I stayed about 1.5 hours and had to leave.

Stuart, I thought you were going with a pro-charger...I like the TVS. Car is truely stunning.

Stuart Adams 11-02-2009 08:10 AM

Didn't care for the pro charger that much, looking forward to the Harop supercharger though. Thanks. Wish I could have made it out.

wiedemab 11-02-2009 08:29 AM

Stuart - I didn't realize you had another project in the works. I really enjoyed looking over your last car. I like the style - OEM look of everything on that car.

I can't wait to see what is next.

Stuart Adams 11-02-2009 09:59 AM

Anyone take any pics of the new building?

Stuart Adams 11-02-2009 10:02 AM

Never mind, on their website now.

Is this the "other" car Stuart? I have not heard about it in over a year. I thought maybe the project had stalled out. When is it scheduled to debut?

Stuart Adams 11-02-2009 07:21 PM

July 2010, hopefully.

BobB66SS 11-02-2009 08:12 PM

I had a chance to take the full DSE tour a couple of months ago and spent about half an hour walking around your car, Stuart. The craftsmanship and level of effort put into every single detail is just mind blowing. It's a shame that some of that work won't be visible when it's done. Congrats, can't wait to see it done.

RPM HOTRODS 11-03-2009 06:34 AM

Stuart, The car is killer can't wait to see it done, we at the shop have been watching it for years. The details in that car make it not just another camaro. There is so much to look at I think I spent about 2hours there looking at your car! July 2010, Know what thats all about!!!! It looks like it was almost ready to blow apart. Good Luck its badass.

It has been a long haul. Some other projects there needed to get done first, which is cool by me. The Manning car and Busch's car are going to be great cars coming soon. And Jason Stavolas car that just got done was amazing, suprised its not in all the magazines.

Stavola's car was coming off the DSE transporter while I was there, got to eyeball that one for awhile too. Stuart's right, outstanding car and build. It's all the little stuff DSE does that you don't notice at first that really make their cars stand out. The door latch mechanisms and some trick underhood plumbing for example on Stavola's car are just unreal. Subtle and understated but just slick as hell. And I'm sure Stuart's car will be to yet another level.

Wish I could have stopped by. And I'm only 3 hours away! Anyone know what wheels are on Stavola's 69?

I am sure it will be Epic! Your blue "Driver" was awesome. I am guessing we have to wait another year before seeing it?
