Ironworks C6-57 to be displayed in the Meguairs booth @ SEMA.
 

Well the farm truck is getting cleaned up with the finest cleaning products for the big Show in Vegas. We have been cleaning and cleaning and prepping for the show. It should be a great time, stop by and say Hi. You can't miss me.

They announce the Truck of the Year winner on Thursday during SEMA. So we will see how that goes.

It is kinda crazy to think 15 years ago I bought this Truck for 1500 bucks and drove the wheels off of it. And many years later and 3 chassis's later she is going to be in the Meguairs booth under the fancy lights and has her own dedicated make up Artist ( Or Detailer ) for the whole week.

We did alot of things in black after this photo shoot, and I wish it would have been like that then, but the worst thing we did to this project was put the body on it in my opinion.

And just to be clear no matter how much work you put into anything, if your OCD is bad enough it will always be junk. Or could be done better a 2nd time. But Thanks so much for the praise. Even though I'm pretty much over it already and excited to build something else. I'm just not sure I can afford the new drug whatever it might be. This one was hard enough and long enough and the next one will be crazy.

i dont care what anyone says, thats by far one of the baddest trucks ever, if not the baddest. cant wait to check it out at sema.

Well Truckin Magazine put it in the group of 6 trucks they select every 10 years for the award called "Top Trucks of the Planet". I was selected in that group as the only classic truck. It will be on the cover of Truckin in early 2010 and the cover of Classic Trucks sometime in the spring.

When the editor told me Truck of the planet I thought that was funny. Is that like the Miss America pageant, and the Miss Universe pageant. Seriously Truck of the Planet? How about truck of the Universe? Just seemed funny

I have drooled over the photos and I have drooled over the real thing. That truck is unbelievable!!!

Yep....that truck is sick. I shot the **** with Rodger for a little while. One of the nicest in the show without a doubt.

GM Design Award
 

Rodger was asked to attend the GM Design Award breakfast this past Thursday morning. He was presented the "BEST TRUCK" GM Design Award!!!!

I was honored to be asked by Rodger to attend the award presention (and GM did not say ahead of time what the award was), along with his wife Shannon, and Jason (from Ironworks).

Congrats to Rodger!!!!!

I'll post a pick of the award later today!

Thanks guys it has been a very busy week to say the least. I was actually looking forward to driving home just to sit down for 5 hours. Displaying my truck in their booth and getting the GM award was pretty cool stuff. The lighting in the booth and the work the detail crew did to my truck on Monday made it look so perfect. I had a lot of great opportunities put before me this week. I even got interviewed by Barry Meguiar for the car crazy show, and I think I actually got the words out of my mouth in complete sentences. The interview I did for K&N on Wednesday was a disaster to say the least.

Since I did not sell the truck at the show, I'm going to work on the plan as to what the last shows I will keep it nice for, maybe a few indoor shows over the winter, then if someone does not pry it way from me begin to drive the wheels off of it.

Thanks for all the praise and support guys and it was great meeting more and more of you guys in person this past week.
