Camaro Performers Magazine
alright guys...this mag does alot for the G-Machine community- just look at the last issue...so all we have to do is give back a little...I finally did-it's easy
here's the suscription link https://www.circsource.com/store/Sub...ml?offerId=390 no...Rupp did not put me up to this:rofl: - Chris |
I sent mine in a few weeks ago. Just got my second subscription issue. Way better than going to the store looking for the latest release for sure!
|
OK Chris...you made me do it!
Been waiting for a few others to expire because I have waaay too many magazines shoved in my mailbox monthly but I've been meaning to subscribe to CP for awhile now,it's features all the cars I want to see and read about and I owe it to Steve for all his hard work doing what he does...whatever that is,lol.
Besides,he's featuring a certain cool car soon that we'll all want to read about, aren't you Steve buddy:unibrow: and no...it's not one of mine. |
lol... thanks for the support.
To be honest if you like the magazine it's makes HUGE sense to just subscribe since it dramatically cuts the cost of the magazine. And we love us some g-machines here... :) |

I actually have two subscriptions to CP in my name and bought one for my dad....it's the only book I get now. Great job guys!!
|
Can I take this opportunity to take the arse-kissing to the next level?
CP became even better and trumped PHR in my mind when Rupp defected. :D Still love both mags but give the nod to CP. |

I'd like to see more focus on Camaros that PERFORM instead of rot in some rich guys garage or exotic showroom... Love the magazine, but the crazy black 69 with the Carbon kinsler injection that SITS in an exotic showroom is an outright shame this most recent issue. Its a beautiful build but its usage as a piece of art goes against everything this community supposedly stands for....
People can do what they want with their cars, but I think its a shame to build a car with performance parts as a show car. Although the coverage of the trans am car recently made up for it a bit :unibrow: |
I should pony up and buy a sub for my dad. We are putting a Wegner LS in his 68 in a couple of weeks. I have to get him in the mood for a few more PT bits on it.

I am not sure what happened, I went to the bookstore and saw the newest issue, so I bought it thinking my subscription ran out, then received mine in the mail like 3 days later. |
Finally Finally started to get mine:willy:

But seriously.. thanks. Besides, it was easy since Nick a g-Machine lover at heart as well. |

We show "Camaros that perform" in every issue.. hell, there's more cones in our mag than the SCCA newsletter. What about the TA feature? Or Milts autocross Camaro? Or Kyle's (DSE) second gen? Mary Pozzi's car on the cover.. etc. Nothing wrong with showing the high end beauties as well.. a little something for everyone. It's Camaro Performers, not Grassroots Motorsports. So no need to hate on people with money that have beautiful cars. :) They are like the centerfolds in Playboy.. nice to look at even if you have no chance of ever driving one. |

I noticed the same steering column article was in Super Chevy, as well as Camaro performers. Does that happen frequently?
|
If I'm not ripping on you then check my pulse.... Hell, I rip on my clients most of the time anymore. Steve, what were you getting me for Christmas? I hope it wasn't an aluminum block.

Let's say Super Chevy has a story fall out for some reason.. the writer got sick, flaked, or there was a problem (engine blew up, etc). Well, they still need to fill the pages so we do a "pull story" where we take a story from another magazine. It's not a huge deal because cross-readership is small.. maybe 10-15%, but we try to have it be as infrequent as possible. My safety wire story was picked up by Street Rodder... then again our cross over with them is about 1%. Back in the old days (6-10 years ago) 90% of Camaro Performers was rehashed Super Chevy stuff. Not any longer. |

I hardly ever chime in but that was funny come back from Steve!

My lady has been wanting her own Camaro.   The curves on those 68 quarters and fenders are perfect! We'll call it good friday or bad suzanne or something.....

Thanks Anthony. Maybe you should get one more for your neighbor. Seriously guys (and gals), your support of Camaro Performers and the support we get from our advertisers make it possible for us to continue to put this mag out nine times a year. We really appreciate the kind words, and for subscribing, or buying it off the newsstand. Nick L. |

  |
If we all keep saying really nice stuff about the mag will you take it to the powers that be and push for 12 issues a year?:D
That reminds me, I just got the bill for the sub. Better get that out in the mail in the morning.....:_paranoid |

Seriously, the more we spread the word about this magazine, the more likely it could go monthly. I will say that the schedule is out for 2010, and it is still 9 times. We could shoot for 2011, though. Also, if you can't find it at your local Walmart or wherever you buy magazines, you have to let the manager know about it. Otherwise, they won't carry it. Nick L. |
