Tom,do you happen to know Aaron Scott, owner of South Georgia Corvette in Thomasville,GA? He's been building some TT ZR-1's.

My Callaway ZR-1 had a Doug Rippie LT5. Aaron is the most meticulous LT5 engine builder I've ever known,,and I know a bunch of them. If I can help you with anything ZR-1,just drop me a line at [email protected] |

I'll give everyone my regards and I'm sure everyone is glad to see you're still around and playing with some  toys. Also I saw your Callaway Aerobody car at a local show this summer and it is still looking good. |
Tom,
Can you elaborate on the oiling system for these turbos? |

Tom
Its a standard deal pressure oil in with a -12 drain line to pan there high enough to drain.
|
Sweet, I had one of the 4 LPE twin-turbo ZR1's built. 767 rwh on pump fuel..

Tom, I've got a 91 LT5 motor just waiting for your teaking for my first "real" project. It already sports LPE heads, intake and the larger throttle body. I'll be following your progress on the 91 Z you are working on now. :hail: I',m not dropping into a vette so space won't be a problem.
I picked up a 6 stage weiss dry sump with the same specs as the ZR1 oil pump and am concidering running that too. Did you guys ever consider a dry sump system for the 91 or is space a limiting factor? it doesn't look that difficult to integrate once teh oil pump internals are removed so teh feed line to teh stock pick up location in the block still gets oil to that beautiful crank first. |
