69 Camaro "War"

Thought I would introduce my project. I started this 3 years ago and had all the fab about finished then decided I wanted to run 19's all the way around so I cut it all back out and started over.

Some brief specs:
LS7 T56 DSE front sub DSE Qlink
345/30/19 on a 19X12.5 rear
285/35/19 on a 19X10 front

Here is the rendering John McBride did.

And the day I bought it( Hey the body was nice)

I have been following this build on Marquez site in January. I met with Pasqual while at a show.

DAMMM you are one lucky guy to have a car made by him. The attention to detail is :wow: amazing.

GregWeld 11-20-2009 08:17 PM

Well -- I'd just need a whole bunch of new tools! So I showed this to my wife... and she said that just as soon as I could fix the leaking toilet.. I could buy a new pack of sandpaper. So I'm on my way now!

Phenomenal craftsmanship! Man I wish I had enough life left in order to learn how to do that!

waynieZ 11-20-2009 08:24 PM

Awesome fab work. I wouldn't even put rugs in it, it would be a shame to hide that beautiful work.

xpsled 11-21-2009 05:23 AM

The Fabrication Work In This Car Has Taken It To The Next Level, You Have Made Me Reconsider Where I Am Headed With The Fabrication Work On My Car. Absolutely Awesome.

T_Raven 11-21-2009 05:43 AM

I agree with everyone else, that's some amazing metal work.

WILWAXU 11-21-2009 06:52 AM

Great looking build! Look forward to seeing more.

DOOM 11-21-2009 08:03 AM

Greg, I don't know how old you are but I'm 45 and just started doing this. I did the fab work in these pics. I can't show the stuff Pascual is working on for the car but it is amazing. Alot of new things coming out. Anyway point is an old dog can learn new tricks

Mario,
I will finish this car.

Bow Tie 67 11-21-2009 09:38 AM

Unreal, that is some very nice work. It does not look like you need help with that kind of talent. I'll assume its time constraints. How long have you been working on this car?

War 11-21-2009 10:04 AM

Off and on with the redo 3 years. Time to finish it!

Ricochet 11-21-2009 10:52 AM

Jason - It's about time you spilled the beans about WAR! Guys - pics don't do this thing justice. I have seen this in person quite a few times and walk away shaking my head. Crazy part - this is the first time Jason has done any of this - which impresses me to no end. Although he does have some great direction under the watchful eye of Pasqual. Wait until you see what else they have up their sleeve with this thing.

tones2SS 11-21-2009 11:38 AM

Jason, you are doing a great job. What you have done so far looks awsome.
Keep us posted on this build please. Car is going to look killer!!!

War 11-21-2009 12:20 PM

Here is a couple pics of the rockers. We cut the old ones of and made new ones out of 16 ga to get rid of the pinch weld at the bottom but did not change the original lines.

Sorry for this pic, looks like I had too much coffee.

redfire69 11-21-2009 12:56 PM

Jason,

Awesome work! I've been waiting for this thread. Metal work is off the hook, as is the design!

 :hail:

Cris@JCG 11-21-2009 08:54 PM

The metal work on this 69 is awsome!

Serpa69 11-21-2009 09:21 PM

This car was minitubed qlinked with all DSE stuff. He did not like the way it was so he took out the plasma and redid it. This car will set the bar for all future 69 camaro builds :hail:

X2.

If there's such a thing as see through carpet...this car should have it.

ha ha no doubt!

Vegas69 11-22-2009 12:22 AM

Love it.....just hope you didn't blow your wad in the beginning stages. We all know just how much these babies can $1000 you to death.

Jay Hilliard 11-22-2009 07:17 AM

I say just clear coat over the bare metal. It would a shame to paint and cover this great work. The interior work is UNREAL. I would cry if I was the one covering it up with sound deadener and carpet.

HOLOHAN'S HOT ROD SHOP 11-22-2009 07:20 AM

Impressive, great metal finishing skills, nice attention to detail....

tones2SS 11-22-2009 11:27 AM

I'm really looking forward to see how awesome this car comes out. If it looks this good now, I can only imagine how nice it will be complete.
GREAT WORK Jason.

War 11-22-2009 01:28 PM

Here is a few pics showing the rear tail pan and bumper mods. Pascual wanted to keep the stock gas filler and plate location but build a 2 piece rear diffuser. I ended cutting off all of the tailpan from the bumper down and started over.
