Payback Autocross in HD!

Great day and super fun track. This was my best and final run today. Car is getting better and better. I might be improving a little too.

XcYZ 11-29-2009 06:48 PM

Looked great, sounded great. And you seemed quite happy with that run. Way cool, Todd.

70rs 11-29-2009 06:49 PM

Nice work Todd. Looks like a pretty fast track. Scorpion helmet? I have a EXO700 for the bike, the "Crackhead" model.

That was a nice run!!

DFRESH 11-29-2009 07:07 PM

Nice man---that looks like a fast Auto X---what kind of MPH were you hitting there? Car sounds amazing and looks like you are hauling booty!! Awesome.

Doug

rogue 11-29-2009 07:10 PM

nice. Silly you, didn't you know that big block cars can't handle? :_paranoid

NOT A TA 11-29-2009 07:15 PM

Nice video Todd. Looks like you had a great day!

Vegas69 11-29-2009 07:27 PM

I was hitting about 70-75 in a couple spots. I'm sure most think that's wind crackling but that's my rev limiter down the first high speed spot. I shifted into third once, to be hones it was just to fast for that section and I got in way to hot into the the first slalom. So I just bounced it off the limiter. That S section was like two u turns at a stop light. It was so damn tight. I ended up taking my lumps after trying to fishtail and downshift and just coasted through and that's where I picked up a little time. One of the event runners said I have the Street Modified guys a little worried. I'll post up some other videos later, they take over an hour a pice with this quality. You should see them on my screen not shrunk by youtube.

Big blocks can handle!

GregWeld 11-29-2009 07:37 PM

Okay! That was fun Todd!!

Man - you were hauling some azz... I thought auto X was all about 35 mph. LOL

Rev limiter works thats for sure.

T_Raven 11-29-2009 07:38 PM

Very nice!

awr68 11-29-2009 07:42 PM

Awesome Todd!! Looks like a real fast event! Do you need harnesses yet?

ProdigyCustoms 11-29-2009 07:53 PM

So whats the verdict on the new sway bar? You likey?

Ron Fox 11-29-2009 09:16 PM

Nice run Todd. Greqt camera shot. Car sounds good.

Vegas69 11-29-2009 09:31 PM

This video is a little off the pace but thought it was an exciting run. It's right at the end of the first heat and I had shifted into third. Guessing pushing 80 down the straight. Tires seem fine.

Kelli flops around over there like a fish but I don't seem to have a problem with moving around. I didn't get the rear bar on yet Frank. I did put in a different front bar and make some major front shock adjustments. Those two plus the new tapered axles and improved brakes made for a good run.

lhkustoms 11-29-2009 09:35 PM

You've been listening to Charley's propaganda too much..

GregWeld 11-29-2009 09:37 PM

So Todd -- Did you roll in the new trailer??

Steve1968LS2 11-29-2009 09:37 PM

Oh, and thanks for the vids.. looked like fun.

Need to shoot your damn car.. maybe I need an excuse to visit Vegas.. :unibrow:

Vegas69 11-29-2009 09:45 PM

Nah....no trailer. It's only about a 30-40 minute drive to the speedway and we go through Lake Mead National park on the way home. Makes for a great day.

Steve, I'm ready when you are buddy. I still have plans for more upgrades but that will never end. We have another race on Dec 14th. Drive Penny over and we'll race and then shoot. ;)

XcYZ 11-30-2009 05:43 AM

What's your rev limiter set at, Todd?

Vegas69 11-30-2009 06:19 AM

I have it at 6k which is where my motor makes peak HP. I keep forgetting to order some new pills for my msd box. I did borrow a 7k when I chassis dynoed so I know that's peak power. I shouldn't be shifting at that point anyway. Next time I order from Jegs or Summit.:D Probably go with a 6300-6500.

Payton King 11-30-2009 07:31 AM

Did the tapered bearings

cure all of your problems?

Living the dream my man...keep up the good work

The fact you have tunes cranked makes me laugh!!

ironworks 11-30-2009 12:07 PM

Maybe my speakers Are playing games on me but in the first video it sounds like some " And Justice for ALL" playing on the stereo. Looks like fun

Vegas69 11-30-2009 12:16 PM

Actually that's Pantera, Walk but I have Metallica justice for all in the lineup. Some guys drink energy drinks, I play 90's heavy metal.:D It seems to keep me focused and I just drive!

ironworks 11-30-2009 12:22 PM

Well the lick at 37 seconds sounds just like " and justice for all " either way, good driving music always helps with any time slip.

I can't wait to get the Chassisworks Car together so I can do the same.

Rodger

Rybar 11-30-2009 12:56 PM

Wow what a ride . That thing sounds sweet!

ALLSPEED01 12-01-2009 06:44 AM

Nice video Todd! That sound brings me back to following you through the twisties by your house! Nothing like a big block full tilt on the limiter. Maybe we can do it all over again next year.
Brian
