December 09 Feature: Scott Mock's 69 Camaro
 

The December Feature of the Month is Scott Mock's 69 Camaro. If you attended the '09 Optima Invitational, you got to see it in person. It's a performance first build with a tribute to the Penske/Mark Donahue 69 Camaro. A great blend of history and modern g-machine build style. It may not be for everyone, but I thought it was a fantastic car and a great representation of the Lateral-g community.

I was hoping Scott would pick this car soon. Everything about it is just so appealing and at the same time hard core. Just imagine pulling up at a street light in traffic with the TA inspired badging all over it and individuals thinking? It definitely would get my attention more than most cars out there to the point Id be following him like a stalker just to check it out.

I too got to see it at the optima event. I had to leave just before the car got its laps on the road course though, which was disappointing since it just looked so very at home on the track, even waiting in line to run. I'd seen the pictures on lat-g before, but in person it is something else; this '69 has such a commanding presence with the 315s up front that it is just plain nasty simply standing still.

hey scott congrats on feature car of the month! It still amazes me you built this thing in seven months even though i saw every step of the build. The car is amazing and thanks for letting me drive it!:D its an absolute blast and drives and performs as well as it looks. Been one hell of a year! congrats!

Thank you.I never dreamed my car would get this kind of reaction.I only wish I could drive the car as fast as it needs to be. I wish I would have got video when my good friend Jeff Kopp was behind the wheel at Heartland Park topeka this summer. Man He scared the sh*t out of me. I didnt know the car was that fast.

Scott, apparently I have been asleep and missed this. Congratulations, and thanks once again for letting me drive this beast. Your car is the coolest car I have ever been around.
