The right shade of orange
Im am set to paint my blue 67Camaro this winter and I'm thinking of going with an orange. I'm leaning towards hugger orange, but not sure. I want a deep shade of orange thats not too light. Any suggestions? Pics maybe?

How about burnt orange?
|
The orange listed above was my first thought too. There is a color on the '07-'08 Corvettes and HHR that is nice looking. They both have some pearl/metallics in them though. I did see a 71 Camaro up here with the same base color as the vette but without the pearls mixed in and it really looked good. I would think any decent paint shop could mix it without the pearl in it for you.:cheers:

Here are some more orange colored cars. Check out the orange chrome paint. Crazy. It's probably not what you are looking for but I thought it would be cool to show you guys.

Here are some more. Is the orange on the Gallardo what you are talking about?

Lamborghini Orange
The name of the paint is Lamborghini Orange Pearl Mica, I also am considering this color. It costs more to do since it is three stage paint. Attached are some pics.

You have some options on the above mentioned choices. Ive done some homework on this awhile back ago;
Lambo has 2 orange colors- PPG 0057 Arancio Ishtar 2ct PPG 0058 Arancio Atlas Mic 2ct (this is the metallic one) Viper has 3 orange colors year specific PVK Orange Blast pearl coat PK3 Burnt orange Very Orange pearl coat Vette Atomic Orange 2007-09 Daytona Sunset orange 2006 Sunset orange 2005 Ive seen all these colors in person except for Lambo PPG 0057, from what Ive seen in mags the Lotus orange looks nice also My narrowed down preference; Viper Orange Blast pearl coat Lambo metallic Vette atomic orange and towards the orange/brown the copperhead viper |
I looked everywhere in those pics for a Lambo. I tried and tried but still didn't see any cars at all.....I am going to go look again......just to be sure.....:_paranoid

I am thinking of the PPG 0058 . I was going to say I like the left side of the first orange car but, when I saw the hood of the second oragne car I forgot what I liked about the first car. WOW!
|
the mazdaspeed spicy orange is a nice color too. has a gold pearl to it. very close to that lambo orange.

How about Inferno Orange Metallic?
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1238288692 I was thinking of painting my '69 Camaro this color with Cyber Gray stripes. |
www.paintwithpearl.com it doesnt have to be a 1000 dollar a gallon lambo paint... even a simple metallic BC/CC+(candy or mica) 2 stage... will look just as awesome....
and it doesnt have to cost a fortune |
I saw a 2005 Lambo on Saturday with the orange paint. I have to say that in person it looks just killer on that car. Of course it was inside a dealer and under the ideal lighting too. But deuce is right, any BC CC job done right will look just as good and not kill your budget.
