Trouble Part 2
Well I've gone a complete different direction from my first thread of ''Touble'' my 68 Camaro so I might as well start a new one. It started out with all Wayne Dues front and rear suspension and quickly decided it was a little outdated and I wanted to try to keep up with everyone so I went with a complete setup from Jakes Rod Shop with his c6 style front subframe and rear torque arm. I need to thank Wegner Automotive Research in Markesan, W.I. for building me a 427 inch lsx powerplant. Also I would like to thank everyone at the Ring Brothers as you can see I'm getting some cool new carbon fiber body panels that they should be selling in the near future. And I cant forget about Carter Hickmans kick ass rendering! I will be posting build pics in the near future but for now here's a little something for your viewing pleasure.

Awesome design! And the parts list sounds pretty cool too.

Nice work on the rendering Carter. Your work is really amazing. I had Ben Hermance do mine and I am VERY happy with his methods and the finished product. But it's always neat to see the different works from you, Ben and Jason. They all stand out in their own way and each offer a unique perspective on design. |
Thanks for the compliment! I once heard a wise man (you know who you are) state that "They offer a menu at restaurants because everyone has different taste." Same thing with a shop or a designer, you pick the one you want to eat!...... I mean work with! There all kinds of analogies but yes everyone does great work and these are just fun to do.

Wasn't aware you did some mods on Jeff's car. Is your goal still to track the car more than street driven. We've been seeing more different colors coming out over the last year or so than the typical, some good, some bad. But this is good. FYI- Im heading up that way in two weeks for a potential client. I call ya if I end up close to the shop. |
I think it is a bad a$$ color,Should look real good when done.

I use to not like greens on cars, but now I love most of the different shades I see. You're rendering looks great. Can't wait to see the build.

Green has got to be the new red. I am seeing quite a few cars right now going this direction. If you get the green "right", you will knock a home run. Looks like a great project.

a little progress
well I think I better get my butt in gear if I'm going to make road america so here's a couple pics. I'm digging the split bumper!
