Welcome, I have a strong feeling we know some of the same people. I lived in Clarksville, TN for 15 years. I have a very good friend that had a mopar junk yard in Lodiburg KY. Anyway welcome.

I am curious about who you bought the duster from ? I see a billet timing chain cover and know of only 1 source for them .

i purchased the car from a man named paul groeninger the timing chain cover was a limited production from magnum research i think they are out of business now i have since sold that piece and am going with stock water pump and billet specialties accessories kit that piece was limited to what you could do with it i have the rear end in now

wedged 02-09-2011 02:15 AM

Ok, Paul bought that from Magnum HP, Inc. They are definately not out of business.

thats right when i purchased it i tried finding any info on the timing cover and could not find anything on it on the internet then i called him and he told me where he purchased it when i found the website there was no info on that piece and the website was defunkt at the time is this something you made is this your company the piece was awesome .

Paul got that way back in 2004. The cover was listed on the Magnum HP site when it was available, which was an on and off occurance so the listing for it was intermitant. It's not listed now, but there is one cover remaining that is available. Since it is very unique and had specific parameters that had to be met to use it, not many people could use. A lot of people wanted to use a stock water pump or use a bunch of accesories like power steering and AC on it and there was just no way to easily do it with the electric water pump. Not that it couldn't be done, but it would be difficult.

as far the site magnumhp.com being defunct, that is incorrect. It has been in continuous daily opperation since 2002. There has been a few (very few) times over the years the site was down due to the webserver having issues. That typically has been limited to very short periods of time, maybe a few hours at most. I can only recall about 4-5 times that it happened during the last 10 years.

its an awesome piece why dont you advertise it more seems like it would be a hot item maybe adapt the use to a stock water pump it would of looked great with the billet specialties accessories kit thanks for the info ive had the car now for about 2 1/2 years i had planned on finally painting it and putting it together and selling it now the bubble burst and no ones buying much would be lucky to get my money back paul had been working on the car for about 20 years and then he got his self in a jam and needed money.
