1) The car is truly amazing; in perfect shape. The magazines got it right. This car is truly a super-car; never owned, driven or ridden in a car that was this fast or handled as well. 2) It is a new car not an old car and I am on old car guy. I won't say I told you so.............. ;) Thing is, I get it. The ZR1 is an amazing car, but it's a new car........... it will do most anything better than an older pro-tour car, but it's still not the same. That's why I always try to keep an older car project going.
Good luck Chris. Jody |

Good luck with the sale and try to work on your patients. If you are old enough to have a kid in college then you are plenty old enough to keep you impulses in check IMO. |
Wow, already up for sale?
Chris buddy, patience my friend when looking for what you want. Ryan |

Very cool car.
|
At least drive it for a little while to make it worth the trouble....
|
I know, I know and thanks
Guys,
I know, I need to become more patient. It is funny. In my professional life I am very patient...need to be. Buy outside of work, exact opposite. But, we all have our vices no? Jody, Very well said. That is my "condition". Todd, Afraid to drive it. The F'ing thing is perfect and I do not want to even nick or chip it. I just spend tie with it in the garage. Sad, I know. All that saod, I did drive it when it first arrived and WOW it flat flies. Take care guys, Chris |
Wow, that was quick.....I hope you find what you are looking for and are happy.
Good Luck!:lateral: |
many thanks
John,
Me too. This car is over-the-top awesome but just not exactly what I want right now. Put the car up on eBay to get some more exposure. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...STRK:MESELX:IT Take care, Chris |
WOW, Killer car. I've always loved that Jet Stream Blue color. AWESOME!
Good luck with the sale Chris!  |
I can't tell you how much I want this car... I drove one and you're right.. they are amazing cars..
|
know how you feel...
Steve,
I know how you feel; I was lusting after this copper colored, bad ass 68 Camaro about 3 weeks back. Just kidding...sort of. Actually, you are right. The ZR1 is an amazing car. I thought I had driven enough cars to have "seen it all". No way. This thing rips. And, the girlfriend loves the heated seats. What a deal! Take care Steve, Chris |

hygiene
Mike,
Hope you are well and happy holidays. Yea, I do swap cars often, but, I try to practice good hygien as well! This time 'round I hope to find a car I can keep for a while. Take care, Chris |
Change of pace, speaking of changing out cars often, what ever became of the blue/ white big block 69 Camaro that had the white cage in it? That was a NICE looking car. I met you at the Santa Maria nationals show quite a few years back and that is what you were driving..
Jason |
Chris, nothing wrong with changing cars. Least your buying cool cars. Your just doing your job to stimulate the economy!
|
blue \ white Camaro
Jason,
Hello. Hope you are well. Man, I loved that car. Had it for nealry two years! It is now in Atlanta. Chris |
Chris,
I feel your pain. I just finished a C6 build that made over 800 horse and it was flat out wild. I loved it, everybody around it loved the details and body work, the custom wheels everything. When it was done I looked at my wife and said, "hun I really want an old car again". It was fun but not me . I'm a 30 y/o who should have been born in 1950. Ah well it happens. Sold it and got a 67 Camaro. Good luck man and may the force be with you. |
Hey Chris this is america we are aloud to change our mines and want more or something differant. The only way to know what you really want is to sample a little of everything. But what chevy dealer will let you try a ZR1 for a weekend. So keep the Vette and take some time to find that car you really want. May be that camaro that was a little too race car for you a few weeks ago might fit in real good with your ZR1, giving you the best of both worlds. GoodLuck.thumbsup:Scott

i only wish I had the money.. good luck with the sale!

Ha Cris, nothing like paying for a long "test drive" I knew you'd like the ride, its the best new car technology for that cost range IMO. But I here where your coming from. Ive always been old school myself and I still haven't spent more than 1500 bucks into my vette and most likely I'll sell it once I have another project done. I'd rather see my funds go elsewhere in classic cars.
Good luck with your sale, Bump for a great price. Guys you have about 16hrs left if you haven't got the wife a Christmas present yet. |
sold the ZR1
Hey guys,
Happy holidays. Sold the ZR1 through eBay (eBay works every once in a while....better with newer cars I think). Ended up taking just a small loss, got away pretty lucky all-in-all. At any rate, thanks for all of the positive posts. Now.....need to find the right car....."This is like deja vu all over again." (credit Yogi Berra here). Chris |
Congrats Chris!
Certainly there is a classic car out there for ya! |
Nice, I hope you took her out for one last run. :D I'd sell you mine but I kind of like the old crook.

thanks guys
Todd, thanks and I hope you change you mind about your car!
Eric, yea, I think I know about the auction you are referring to. As for the Ring Bros. car, I am not sure about Reactor but I know Copperback will be there as I spoke with the dealer who is bringing it. He wanted 150K for it about 2 weeks ago. Not sure what the reserve will be but sounds like it is out of my range. Take care, Chris |
Red Witch....
But you want a LSx motor, right? |
red witch?!?
Anthony,
Hope you are well. Yea, would like an LSX. But, the red witch. Is that car even for sale? Chris |
Red Witch is going to Barrett-Jackson. Selling on Thursday night, lot # 734 on their site.
|
There ya go Chris! Keep it in the family!! :D
|
red witch and BJ Auction
Anthony,
Would love to acquire a car like the red witch but to be honest I cannot get past the fees BJ charges. Yes, they do bring together a large amount of genuine buyers, but, they get what, 8% from the buyer and another 8% from the seller? On a 100K car that is a $16,000 "surcharge". On top of that they charge for everything from a bidders paddle to tent access to popcorn. Not a shot at anyone who buys and\or sells through BJ, just something I struggle with. Perhaps it is just me. I hope those who are selling or buying at BJ do very well. Chris |
