All highways in OKC just closed
 

Never in my life have I seen a blizzard in OKC this bad. It is "white out" conditions here. Airport closed, highways closed, many streets closed in town, emergency responders tell the public you are basically on your own, they can't get anywhere either. it is rediculous. Snow accumilations are not unheard of, some where around 6", but with sustained 40mph winds and 50+ gusts, drifts are several feet deep. Merry Christmas!

They were saying on the news, that if you HAVE TO travel, make sure you have plenty of blankets, hats, gloves, water and non perishables in your vehicle because of the terrible weather. Stay safe out there Mike!!:thumbsup:

Yesterday it was 75 degrees and today....blizzard. The wind is like nothing I have ever seen here. I am about 3 hrs south of OKC.

Mike, you are supposed to keep the cold and snow in OK.

Roads are pretty clear today, but cars still litter the highways and streets. Stores closed early tonight to keep people at home and off the ice. Most everything should be close to normal by Monday.

Sounds like things are getting better over there...that's a good thing!

Hope things get better for you guys soon. That's some tough situation there. We got a lot of rain last night and into today along with warm temps that melted A LOT of snow around here.
