Need everyone's opinion....

K... here's where i'm at with the console, the white is water based paint so the fiberglass wont destroy the foam.

Here's how things are layed out, what do you think? the cubby will be a spring loaded door that will open up much like the glove box.

My question to you... do i switch the placement of the cubby and cupholders or is this a good placement for both....?

I would switch the cupholder and the shifter if you are running a man. tranny. The cups will get in the way, been there done that. If an automajic I would leave it.

its an auto ;)

i thought the slim shifter hole would give it away LOL... my bad. :D

You have it correct.
Cup holders don't work well up front. My Ford Focus has them that way. I have more spills then you can imagine. Pain in the but to get the drinks up and over the auto trans shifter.

Ummgawa 11-15-2005 04:53 PM

Maybe you should just do all of your drinking before you drive.

I really like leaning on a arm reast.

Steve1968LS2 11-15-2005 05:31 PM

Arm rests? Cup Holders? Cubbys?

Wow.. you guys are into all the luxuries.. lol..

But on a serious note I would leave them in the back since you have an auto transmission..

Well my last car was pretty "street roddy".. well minus the air, heat and stereo.. :)

Penny will be a bit different.. I got tired of coveting Steveo's gold '68.. :)

Hey only 30 days till the feb issue comes out.. ;)

i would leave the cup holder's, i think that is a very kewl set up you are heading towards......i know it sound's silly, but all of my older mustang's don't have cup holder's in them from the factory, and it sucks.....you can leave the drink's out of the cup holder's when you are playin, and have your drink's with ya when you are cruisen...

Layout looks good to me. You could always build a folding armrest that dropped down over the cupholders. I have a 3.00 K-mart palstic cupholder that I use in my cars...for that perfect touch...

clill 11-16-2005 10:31 PM

Whoa, that reminded me of a line on "The Ladies Man" when he was asked where he finds products like his Coconut Butt Oil.... "K-mart, Wal-Mart... all the marts..." :D :_paranoid

clill 11-17-2005 08:25 AM

That cupholder is what sets the Mule apart from the Motion car.... :D
