Razor CF/Billet Quarter Gilles!!

Just got my Razor carbon fiber and billet quarter gilles. Talk about a work of art! Big thanks to Ring Brothers, especially Staci and Mike! More pics to follow. Ron

What does that cost?

redfire69 02-05-2010 10:46 AM

They are custom ordered and are not cheap. Suggest you contact Staci @RB for a quote. Not sure how many they plan on producing.

This reminds me of every time I go to a car show. How much you got in er? LOL Beautiful parts....They are 4 figures easily.

96z28ss 02-06-2010 01:58 AM

The only thing with getting a part like this is it going to require cutting the quarter and some fab work then paint.

Also id feel like im trying to copy razor.

redfire69 02-06-2010 05:17 AM

I don't mind cutting up my car. It's easier with the quarters off anyway. This was the one feature from Razor I had to have. I only wish I could afford copying the rest... I guess I'm copying orion too with the marquez valance and smooth bumper.

Bow Tie 67 02-06-2010 05:36 AM

Very nice, copy away, its your car. ;)

lil427z 02-08-2010 08:42 PM

they are 3000.00 pair .

What do they say... being copied is the biggest form of flatery?

They are sweet, wish I had an extra $3K laying around to throw at some side vents... a new TKO600, Moser rear end, Air Ride, a body/paint and an interior are the only things in the way.

Decisions, decisions... I guess I should have bet more on the Saints!

Regardless, good for you and cant wait to see what they look like installed.

I think in this hobby we all take ideas from each other...I think the parts look sweet!

notorious1970 02-11-2010 02:36 PM

looks good...love the CF

Sweet! Best part about owning a classic is you can re-make it the way you want!

Just wondering, but how are those attached to the car after the metal is cut out?
They look badass!

redfire69 03-05-2010 12:30 PM

What you can't see from the pic is the CF part is actually about 1/2 inch thick (made w a fiberglass back I think). I will fab a stepped recess for the CF part to fit in, then secure it from inside the quarter panel.

You can see part of this on a close up of Razor:

Those are awesome but 3K is a little pricey but SO worth it!

True, it is definitely cheaper than having something that elaborate custom made. I think we had 3ish days into the metal work of the subtle looking gills on my car, which with body work, etc probably ends up being somewhat equal in cost.

BTW Redfire69, are you planning on making them (somewhat) functional? that'd be really cool, but probably way too much work.

Matt, Actually I have been toying with the idea of fabbing metal ducts from behind the inner gilles to inside the wheel wells to provide brake cooling....not sure how effective they might be though.

Cool! I imagine you'll have to get pretty creative. I was toying around with that idea, but decided it would be too much of a headache to work around the window regulators, and go inside the car because of the lack of space due to the 18x12s. Ultimately we ended up making some boxes and having the air vent out to the wheel well.

Whatever you decide to do, please keep us all posted.

Holy crap those are awesome. I don't even have a Camaro and I'm trying to figure out how to get some. LOL!

Nice work, that'll set it apart at the shows!

Can the billet ducts be bought without the CF panel?
