seat choice opinions pictures?
I"m starting to look for seats. Mostly street driving with some weekend track days. I'd like to hear some opinions and see some photos of your favorite seat choice. Thanks

What vehicle might help.....
I think the modern GTO (Cavalier on Steroids) seats front and rear are the absolute best seats ever made. But if you're doing a Ford you might want to stick with Ford options. I've sat in high dollar Corbeau's that I almost bought and I was very disappointed in how very hard they felt like double layered cardboard and cheap cloth covering them. Cheap eco boxes from the big 3 have better cloth seats then those were made IMO. |
Recaro.

I really, reaaallly like the Cobra Daytona seats.
One annoying thing with Cobra's product (at least for me) is, the Brand "COBRA" being embroidered into the seatbacks... A lot of folks, when they see them installed in anything other than a Cobra Mustang, automatically think "Oh look! he put Mustang Cobra seats in that Camaro!" I talked with the Cobra rep at SEMA a couple years ago about this and he did say that you can special-order their seats without the "COBRA" embroidery (for an extra charge, of course). |
it totally depends on what car you have and what style your complete build is I think. Recaros are the best seats ever built when it comes to quality and safety however I don't think there designs fit in all cars.

Who is a good vendor for Recaro's?
I'm in SoCal local is better to avoid shipping.

Sparco great seats- super comfortable, great support and lots of style. No one mentioned them so I thought I'd mention them.

I'm with you Dave. Sparcos are very nice. Since nobody noticed he wants pictures,well........ They are large but comfortable, supportive, and great on the race track. Couldn't be happier with the all around package.

I bought mine from madracings concepts. Almost a knockoff of Arizen seats. $450 or so shipped for the pair, black leather, with cut outs. They feel really great and hug you also. Look great as well. I set a little tall on the tracks I have now, so I might just mount them directly to the floor where I need them. I can get some pics but here's a good article about them...

Congrats Darren, made in China seats with GM Performance emblems.

It's one of the most important choices made on a build IMO. I must have bad posture or a bad back but the only seats that felt like I could sit in for hours at a time where recaros. Good luck. Nice car Todd.
