Here is a question to all those who may or may not be computer savvy, what if anything does your avatar say about you. Since there are so many unique members here at lateral-g I thought it would be a good way to know a little more about each individual person and some insight as to where there insigina came from. Ill start.
Plain and simple I am a Jimmie Johnson fan....without a current project  |
Heh.... Could mine be more obvious?

Tony Stewart is the man! :P |
Never found one that suited me. Coming up with the idea for the signature was tough enough.
Most of the guys here have the skills I am just beginning to learn. Kinda makes me feel like the "Wannabe" in the group. |

Mine is just a reminder of when it used to run. lol
I took the pic from the roof of my garage after seeing a killer shot of the Hotchkis F-71 from that angle. |

No he saw it, but thats what makes the Internet, everyone talks about everything except what they are suppose to talk about. Now I am even doing it . . .
Oh for the question, dont know how to make a pic that small, and dont care enough to spend the ten minutes to figure it out. |
mine doesnt really reflect anything...i was just lookin for something not too cheezy.
btw...i personally dont really get the whole nascar deal.... and cuz i dont have anything nice to say about it...im not gonna say nuttin :D |
Mine is what I thought my car was going to look like for the past 3.75 years...after many color changes...I think it will go red...well that's the color of the month anyways, time will tell!!
|
SD is my favorite band and one of my best friends died in a CG helo crash had skully as a tat on his arm and wore the patch on his helmet. My car when done will have it painted on the front 1/4 in similar fashion to Steveo's logo on his.

...and my comments about Jimmie were only meant as friendly razzing from a fan of Jimmie's arch-enemy, hence the little smily faced guy with his toung out :_paranoid |
Mine is the artwork jason did for my car....just in case that isn't obvious!
|
Mine just means that I work at American Autowire.
I know... I know... my creativity is deafening. ~Theresa~ |
Mine is a reflection of my passion for the mid-80's Buicks. That particular vehicle is one of my all time favourites. It encompasses all that I want my project to be.
|
Mine reminds me of
1 something I love 2 something that almost took my life 3 what I'd like to be doing even right now and to be thankful for what I have and appreciate every moment with my family  |
Raceman, it's pretty small to tell for sure, but the catch fence looks like your avatar pic was taken at IRP.
I'm a huge open wheel fan and I'd love to hear more about your racing background. |
Hope nobody minds my repley here , XcYC good guess I've raced there but that one was my finale ride in a silver crown spint car at Nazareth P.A. the fuel injection stuck wide open in practice and I hit at about 150mph.I've raced alot in nascar modifieds in New England and in VIG. , FL, N.Y., some bush north stock cars and ect.. Now I'm taking a break from it for awile its alot of fun but very expensive and alot of work. :drive:
|
Cool, Silver Crown, 100" cars. That's awsome. What's it like driving a car with that much fuel load?
Damn, that's a hard hit. Glad to hear you made it out of that one. |
It's a BLAST 700hp about 1600lb it was the most fun I've had in a race car till the last ride lol . I only went to about 5 races in that division we had engine and misc. problems every time . With the fuel in it you had to drive it alot more carefully .

Mine is a slightly modified tail insignia from a US Navy F-14 squadron...... VF-84:The Jolly Rogers. Always been a fan of military aircraft and besides.....the skull and cross bones just look sinister.

The "before" picture of my car. My girls in front of it. The loves of my life!

Robbie Gordon...the dude has wrecked at least 30 million dollars worth of some other guys cars, much less the ones he's taken out with him. It is a whole different story when he's wreckin' his stuff.
Bouncer looks like you've seen "Boondock Saints", just a guess. |

That happens to be one of my all time favorites. There is nothing better than seeing everyday people take the law into their own hands and dealing with injustice with a common sense approach. |

My avatar is a very small, decolorized, version of a picture I did in photoshop. I just did it to practice some of the things I learned while doing my "Pariah" rendering (that became my old sig). It has become a sort of logo/mascot for me, because I get frustrated a lot, but I just let him do the screaming :) .
Original rendering: http://home.grics.net/~redean/Janus2.jpg My old sig: http://home.grics.net/~redean/ZZWeb/SteelGhosts7.jpg David |
let's get this one going again!!
- mine is what it is I guess, took the picture with my phone at first just messin' around in the garage. Thought it was cool... |
Scott was gracious enough to make mine for me....:lateral: :woot: Now I plan to pay him back with a nice steak and a couple cold beers during Woodward week....:captain:
|
Mine is one of my favorite bands. I would use the one I have on the boards but it's animated :( .
