DriverzInc: Pics of New Gen Lite on my 69 Camaro

Finally got the new New Gen Lite wheels mounted up with a new set of Wilwood W6A and W4A brakes. Wheels are 19x8 and 19x10's with a 245/35/19 and 275/40/19 rear. Before everyone all worked up, the 4" cowl hood is on its way out.

Dude, those look fantastic.

98ssnova 02-23-2010 06:55 PM

I like these wheels but will they have a center cap? also will there be a 20" wheel

DriverzInc 02-23-2010 07:03 PM

They are available in 15-22's, in soft lip or step lip. They are custom built.

We are finalizing the cap. It will be a flat cap, to match the race like design. I don't mind the way they look without a cap though either. :)

Was waiting anxiously to see these wheels on a 69 Camaro  I love these wheels & they look correct for a 69 Camaro!!

The rear is not narrowed. The rear wheel is a 19x10 with just about a factory rear back space.

Justin, those look KILLER on your car.

Speaking of your car, is there a build thread or a link to find out more about it without asking you 5000 questions? Until the pics you just posted I had never seen it outside of your avatar here. I would like to know more about it. It looks great!

Eric, I never started one. I change things than change things again. Never stops. As of now the car a 600hp big block, TK0 600, 9" rear, SC&C upper and lowers with all Marcus's bells and whistles, DSE rear leafs, Varishocks, Wilwood 14" W6A and W4A brakes, New Gen Lites. Still to come is a new hood, Speed Tech Torque Arm rear, AFR heads, and a couple little changes to the interior.

Bad Ass Car Justin. I Had a '69 in College with a ZZ3 roller cammed small-block, T-10 4-speed, 12-bolt posi, Welds, buckets and a steel cowl hood. It was white with black interior. Had it for about 2 years and sold it. kicking myself in the ass for doing that-miss it alot.

I forgot about the orange Z. That would look killer too. Your yellow car just has that perfect stance that would set these wheels off. I'd love to see a set of step-lip 18's.

Give Jon about 2 weeks and you shall see...:unibrow:

After seeing Justin's car,I'd seriously consider 19's (in a step-lip too) ,and yeah I agree...those would look scary on my '69 against that yellow!:willy:

tones2SS 02-24-2010 09:43 AM

WOW!!
Here I am thinking that they were ok, not really a set of wheels I put on my car, but, those look great on there!!! They contrast with the color of the car perfect.
Looks very good.

Swain 02-24-2010 10:14 AM

Nice Car....

Love that color..

street3285 02-24-2010 10:52 AM

Looks good Justin. That color of wheel works great with the color of the car.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question. When you say flat cap do you mean a smooth cap like a forgeline/kinesis or a raised flat cap more like a rushforth, or something completely different? Is the cap in "fat bottom camaro"'s rendering similar to what your coming up with?
You guy really nailed it with this design

Very valid question. We are working with New Gen to develop a cap similar to something you would see on a Forgeline or Kinesis wheel. A domed cap just does not look right on the wheel.

Steve1968LS2 02-24-2010 09:15 PM

Those wheels look really good.. I think you have a winner there!

DFRESH 02-24-2010 10:06 PM

Justin, home run dude---you can certainly pick em, although you do know the right people! That thing, looking like that, with all the power, better be at EL Toro running the event---You gotta bring it.

Doug

Vegas69 02-24-2010 10:14 PM

I agree....you must run the car with those wheels.

We will be there! Unfortunately for me, the wheels did not improve my driving skills.

Love the big tires out back. Will likely be ordering the same sizes for my 67. Rims look awesome too. What lugs are those?

They are long open end hex lugs, in chrome. We sell them for $1.50ea. They are 2" tall. On wheels without a large pad, they will stick out of the wheel about an inch. Like my 67 Nova:

Yeah, the wheel just doesn't look right with a dome cap.... it needs a sunk in flat cap. So, that's what we're doing.

dlouie87 03-23-2010 12:03 PM

what is the back space of the 19x10 in the rear? 5.5''?

JustinB 03-23-2010 12:23 PM

For my app, yes the BS was a 5.5".

cees67 03-25-2010 09:05 AM
