JCG Fat Bottom 69 Camaro

Gonzo's 69 Camaro build!!

I want to thank Ben Hemrance on doing a fantastic job on the rendering. He will be working on having a rear view of the car in the next couple of weeks to compliment the the FAT BOTTOM tattoo. Ben took some serious heat from his wife one night because he got caught looking @ Nicole Austin "COCO" booty pictures on behalf of his research :D I think he hit the tattoo right on the nail. LOL

We don't have specs on the car yet because we have not gotten that far. One thing for sure is that we are running the New Gen Lite wheels from Driverz INC. I really luv those wheels!!

I can't wait to watch this one come together. Rendering is killer

6D9 02-23-2010 11:49 PM

Gonna be sick! I wish they made some fat bottom rear quarters. I would have jumped all over them!

XcYZ 02-24-2010 06:38 AM

Awesome rendering, Ben!

Cris, I REALLY like how you incorporated your logo stripe design as the stripe package on the hood. Very slick.

tazzz2_ca 02-24-2010 07:40 AM

Ben you smashed it out of the park again,,,,,, that said Chris made the job that much easier with your talents and your uncompromising commitment to build fit and finish...... The beautiful job he does stretching the fenders and doing all the detailed little custom touches that are common place over at the shop are really nice to see (and I've seen some of them first hand at his shop)....

This guy is certainly one up and coming builder,,,, keep an eye on him as I think you're going to be seeing a lot interesting things develop from his shop in the next little while ;-).....

Cris@JCG 02-24-2010 07:44 AM

This one will go slow.. we have to find time to work on it between customers car!! I would like ot have it done by the end of this year :unibrow:

Nice rendering as usual Ben!!!

555 Big Block

I still have this motor lying around my office.. I think we will slam it between the fram rails of Fat Bottom.. Need the torque to move the additional rear weight..:D

I want to run an LS motor but I think that this 555 with TKO 5 speed might work for the time being.. What you guys think??

Nothing wrong with a BB with high power/torque ratio!!! :unibrow:
I'm all for it.

Cris@JCG 02-24-2010 09:40 AM

We estimate about 700 hp & 650 ft/lbs of torque :unibrow:

Thanks guys and thanks to Cris for giving me the opportunity. As much as I loved doing this car....I think I liked doing the RESEARCH for the "Fat Bottom Camaro" tattoo. Yeah...."research"...that's what I told my wife too. I'll be allowed back in the house next week...I hope.

Matt@BOS 02-24-2010 05:02 PM

If you put the "tattoo" above the rear bumper, and between the tail lights would it qualify as a tramp stamp?

Matt

Cris@JCG 02-24-2010 05:46 PM

Yes!!! Sounds like a DAMM good idea to me Matt :D

Tom-all Cris told me was "Coco"....nuff said:unibrow:

Matt@BOS 02-24-2010 07:21 PM

Ben, I noticed that, in fact, that is what prompted my question. I couldn't make out what it said though. Your research really must have been very thorough.

Romulus 02-24-2010 09:16 PM

I certainly got lost on google for a while. Damn Coco and her evil powers.

Car looks awesome too. HA!

DFRESH 02-24-2010 09:25 PM

Cris, as always, amazing stuff. Hurry up with the quarter panels already!

Greg and I are hoping to get over to your shop before the West Coast RTTH event---can we bring our cameras? Will you be at the event?

Doug

Cris@JCG 02-24-2010 10:54 PM

Now you understand why Ben is in the dog house  Sure hope they let him in soon so that he can finish the rear view of the car!! Of course he is going to have to do some more RESEARCH :D

That's what your car network is for Ben good buddy LOL,,,,, this way when they want to throw us out we have a place to hang our hats ROFLMAO.... On second thought you better do that research in the summer if your coming this way though,,, awfully dam cool other times of the year....

Great job buddy...

clu269 02-27-2010 12:30 PM

Could you give me the dimensions of the cart that you are using for mock-up? I love the way you use the C-channel for mocking up the ride height. The set up is simple but effective.
Thanks Clu

Having personally seen this 'body' (not the chick in the rendering!) I can say that it looks WAY better in person than in the pictures.... It's bad Azz for sure!

That rendering looks great . I like the tail lights.

DFRESH 04-16-2010 07:48 PM

Awesome look---can't wait to see it in person---you got skills Cris---See you in May at the GG show right?

Doug

nvr2fst 04-16-2010 09:34 PM

Ben did a killer rendering for you Cris. I tried finding your shop when I was down there for Delmar. Got off the exit and somehow ended up on "Car Dealership row" and then ended in a medical complex. Time was short so we had to get back on the trip, no GPS in the rental.

redfire69 04-17-2010 05:27 AM

Nice rendering! I'd like to see more pics on how you widened the quarters and fenders!

Cris@JCG 04-17-2010 08:35 AM

Those are Firebird taillights in back Matt..
