comp-spec 11-27-2005 09:59 PM

There will be some long hours coming up

awr68 11-27-2005 10:13 PM

ladder bar? Is this a pro-street car? Just seems that if it's intended to be a nice driver you wouldn't go that route as the leafs would actually be better. Perhaps a 3 or 4-bar is in order?

Good luck with the project and I hope you share lots of pics!!

rwhite692 11-28-2005 04:33 PM

Wow, that is an aggressive schedule. Will you be working on it full-time during the week? any helpers? Keep us updated with lots o' photos!

comp-spec 11-28-2005 05:02 PM

I'll be on that car from now till the the last min before the show.I have 4-5 other cars to get ready also but those are alot closer then this 1.This car is just going to ripping around the streets no track so i was using the ladder bar set up.The customer doesn't want leaf springs,I'd love to use (mean 69) 3 link system but I would never make jan 6.It is just me and 1 helper working in my shop.

ladder bar coil overs
chris alston front sub frame
18x9 18x12
383 street&performance fuel injection
700r4
willwood

I'll post pics soon

Ricochet 11-28-2005 05:20 PM

Have you already installed the rear suspension? If not, I would strongly suggest using a 4-bar w/ panhard bar over those ladder bars...especially for a street car...the ladder bars are for straight line use...but I'm sure you already knew that. ;)

Good luck with the build, I hope it more less falls together and you easily make the date!! Oh and remember to check in on the family from time to time with the holidays and all!! Get some sleep and hit it hard in the morning...the show is just around the bend!!!

comp-spec 11-28-2005 09:48 PM

krusty i said pics soon Ill post picks tomorrow

comp-spec 11-28-2005 10:00 PM

This guy will never push this car so were going with ladders to make it a little easyer. This car will only be pulling some holeshots on the street. we have cars with 4 bars and ladder bars and inless you are going to spend time playing back there I thought this would be a little easyer on him. But keep the comments coming I love the ideas U can never stop learning

awr68 thanks for the luck :willy:

So far the front frames welds are all ground smooth. Front fenders done, and in primer, trunk lid in primer, header panel, and lower valence in primer. Next step is to pre-assemble engine, to fit all parts, then dissassemble, and paint engine.

How did u know that u must know paul and new his car was there. No way did u pick that 1

If u do know him then u know I did his roll bar thursday night. He pick his car up on sat and he seen the 68 convert. Just alittle more proof of how far apart this car really is

I could tell it was Paul's car by the CE Racing winshield banner.
I used to work with Paul, I worked with him for over 12 years. Lalso spent some time helping him tune that car, I used to work at New England Dyno and Tuning. I just recently relocated to Oregon, I now work for Bushwacker designing fender flares and other automotive products.

I sent Paul those pics with his car in the background in an e-mail, with the subject line, I'm watching you !!

comp-spec 12-05-2005 05:04 AM

I was thinking no way did he guess that from just the banner when u first said it was Pauls I thought u new it was coming down for some work anyway good guess looking at the pics the banner was the only thing that could give it away
