cool color but I'd have run different rims...that's me though.
Bad ass though. |
Looks like a stock LS7.
|
Here's more info- http://www.detroitspeed.com/news_events/hrr10.htm
Are those marker lights on the front fenders or just reflections from other cars? |
I saw that car at DSE a few weeks ago
when they were finishing the build. The coolest thing on the car to me is the wheel studs. They took ARP studs, put them in a lathe, and they look like bullets coming out of the wheel lugs.
|
Subtle, but it grows on you fast...
Every time you think you have seen it all in a '69, someone makes it fresh again. I think we are in the middle of the anti-bling stage, I wonder what DSE will come up with next to wow us! |
Awesome......great stance, subtle colors etc...
|
Nice
Cool car, sits perfect! .... the Color is close to Notorious Nova paint or maybe its the lights? .... what ever happened to the third Gen Nova they were going to build a few years back? I'd like to see them do a late 60's Chevelle too.
|
Kind of looks like Notorious Nova! As said above!

Thanks for the info. |
I saw this at DSE the day before they loaded it into the hauler. The amount of details on this thing, like all their cars, would blow your mind. Every time you make a lap around it you see things you didn't notice the first time. The best part is that most of their details are subtle and classy, not smack-you-in-the-face kind of stuff.
The marker lights that were asked about are BMW or Mercedes, I think. Aside from the wheel studs, all of the stainless fasteners you see are machined by DSE. It's got a Nascar-like removable wheel with a special harness and button for the horn. The decklid spoiler is hand fabbed. I could go on for pages, makes me want to mortgage my house and just tell them to build me whatever they want. And the other builds they have going on are just as amazing. Busch's '69 is just nuts, and Stuart's project is off the charts. Can't wait to see that one done. |

Cool car. Looks like paint that will be awesome in the sun. Looking forward to hopefully seeing it in person. Congrats Mike.
|
Saw this at the Hot Rod and Restoration show. Those pictures are just a tease! Unreal amount of detail. I'm on my way to play the lottery.
|
clean and mean
|
Looks great. DSE is always first class:thumbsup:
|
2 words to describe DSE = KICK ASS!!!
That car looks sharp and I bet it runs like a raped ape and handles like crazy! I can't wait to see what they got cooking for our buddy Stuart Adams!!! :unibrow: |
needs polished wheels
|
I like everything about it except the wheels need brushed lips. That's my arm chair quarter back input for the day. :D

Everything looks awesome except that stock LS intake. I would NEVER run that thing. I'd hate to park next to a 98 Camaro. Sorry guys.
|
Todd be straight up man Its the Fikses' :lateral: lol
|
car is sweet but im not into the wheels
|
i think the wheels MAKE the car... its the only thing that is significantly different about the car under than the underpinnings..

I'm a sucker for gray cars, this one rocks. Tony |
What sizes are the wheels and tires?
|
The corvette C6Z06 calipers
were painted the same purple/red color as the valve covers. Hard to see in the pics.
335/30/18 and 275/35/18 |

They updated the pictures. I like the color on the wheels a lot better in the light |

I really like what they did with the SS hood grills. Looks high tech. It's stepping away from all the billet accessories look.
Attachment 23688 Attachment 23689. Very Nice |

I love the subtilness of this car. Not a huge fan of the non polished lip on the wheels but overall it is absolutely stunning. So does anyone have pictures of the 3rd Gen Nova that they are doing. Just curious since I'm building one myself.
|
Love the Wheels
 What do they say "Opinions are like --------, everyone has one".
I really like the wheels, and the lack of shinny bling is just so right for this car. Nice job DSE. |
