I can't help you with it, but maybe help you feel a bit better.

I'm helping a friend with a 1999 T/A that he is preparing for real street 8 second stuff.

He bought a killer Strange 9" and went with Strange four piston fixed mount drag rear brakes.

He bought a new set of 15" alloy wheels for his drag radials.

They don't clear and are only a hair off from fitting. They were suppose to clear based on all the paperwork and web chatter - but no dice.

So, he just bought another set of rims and remounted - these clear.

The stinking part - if he had known this he would have gone with 16" rims and kept the stock LS rear brakes on the conversion bracket and been done with it.

How big are the wheels and rotors? Where is it hitting?

did you buy them directly from Boze?

Did even try and call Boze first and give them a chance to help?

How much are they hitting by and where?

Those are some pretty good guys. Whomever you bought them from is responsible for fitment. We guarentee fitment on all our deals. If you bought them direct I am certain they will take care of it. If not, better call your dealer.

What is interesting is Wilwood is the easiest big brakes to clear, I would think that would be simple for them

Since you publically anounced your issues perhaps you should also give credit to Boze and publically anounce HOW THEY RESOLVED THE ISSUE.

Well, actually, it is not just John's opinion. The thread opened with you using the term, "stupid wheels" and essentially flaming Boze. Within four hours the issue was resolved with some human interaction.

I do not know you, and I do not know the particualrs of the initial issue. We've all built cars (though not all of us can afford a $250K build) and we've all had issues. I think the point of John's post (and definitely the point of my post here) is to suggest contacting the company before throwing them on the road and getting the bus out to drive over them. Most of the companies here are good, honest reputable folks who are working hard in a bad economy to make a living.

We do not see enough positive pat-on-the-back posts about the companies we need to deal with and we mostly remember the negative posts about the companies we need to stay away from. If you had been hung out to dry on the wheels and there was no recourse, that would have been the time to post here. Instead a lot of readers see the initial post and take away the negative.

Look at the title of the thread, "boze toxic wheels problem". Can the thread name be changed to, "HIP, HIP, HOORAY FOR ZACK AND BOZE WHEELS"?

What does that have to do with a $4,000 set of wheels? I've personally dealt with Boze and was very happy with them. They defiinitely care.:thumbsup:

Moral of story give the people you bought something from a chance to correct the issue first (and it may take some time) before making it public.. If after when brought to their attention they refuse or don't resolve the problem then is the time to take it public.

Boze always seemed like a good dealer that they were able to get the situation resolved in a few hours just goes to reinforce that.

People only remember the negative,rarely the positive...Boze shouldn't have been cast in a negative light on a public forum until the last possible options have been exhausted...that's just common sense and good manners in my book.

Its all good now, but I would have to agree with some of the other comments.

I'd prefer that when people have issues with a product, company or part etc, that they make a concerted effort to resolve it DIRECTLY with the company first. And that usually means calling them....not just sending an email and then getting upset when you dont get a response right away.

If you make a decent effort to resolve it DIRECTLY, but that doesnt happen, then by all means post about the issue.

We all run into issue on our builds... whether it be a $10k build or $400k build......companies make mistakes and so do consumers...its all in HOW they deal with the issue that is important.

In this case Boze immediately stepped up and took care of it..... thats the kind of company I want to deal with.

Dont take this a flame on you....... just some constructive observations.

I agree with how this "should" have went down.

I got my Toxic wheels through Frank. My initial front measurements needed to be tweaked (my fault) and Zach took care of it for a minimal fee.

I figured someone else would come along and put Toxics on a 69. Is nothing sacred anymore!!! :D

Wow! anyone in a financial situation to build a 250k car would have enough common sense and ingenuity to avoid the problem in the first place. Boze is a great company and make simple, amazing looking wheels (hence the shifters in my future) Someone is attempting to mask their ignorance with a 250K pipe dream. :rofl:
