how long did you have to wait to get it. I know a local guy waited 13 months for his. All in all, very nicely built car for what they cost considering the manufacturer

i was lucky... they had just gotten a handfull of diesels and one was unsold.. so i got the 2010 diesel (engine by mercedes) with one weeks wait

Driving one of those on the roads in CA would scare the crap out of me...... huge trucks and SUV's all over the place.....and I'm driving in a shoe box....one small "accident" and its all over

Probaby fun to drive...kinda like a go-kart :)

LOOL i feel confident enough in my manhood not to overcompensate when i buy commuter cars ;-) seriously.. gas is 8 bucks per gallon here and diesel is 7... so 71 mpg is important!

Big trucks and SUVs? I would think that would be nothing compared to the road quality in CA. It would tear a little car like that up

i've always wanted to take one of those out...they look like they'd be a lot of fun to drive.....especially after you do this.....

They are somewhat safe for what they are.

With regards to safety.. its rated 4 out of 5 NCAP so its propably much safer than both my malibu and mustang... the car is basically a rollcage with engine, suspension and bodypanels bolted on.. it has airbags, abs, esp and belt tensioners so im not that worried.. besides its electronically limited to 83 mph..

but its better than a moped, and buying a brand new 71 mpg car gives me time, money and peace of mind to work on my projects instead of always having somthing on teh daily driver that needs fixing... rolling projects that you need to commute suck, everything always seem to be half assed on them

and the last big reason for buying it was that the govermenmt just decided to give cars that do over 65 mpg a BIG tax break... so i get almost 10 grand knocked off the stickerprice because of environmental tax exemption...
