Let's hear it, Kurt!

Autokraft 12-07-2005 09:01 PM

OK, What was Troy's second car he built?

907rs 12-07-2005 09:01 PM

The green Impala.

XcYZ 12-07-2005 09:02 PM

Oh man, I think you told me this one time Kurt... was that the one he had when you and Troy were showing cars side by side a bunch of years ago?

Autokraft 12-07-2005 09:07 PM

Yes it was Scott. I believe it was back in 87-88 Super Chevy in Indy if I remember right.

Troy Trivia

OK, how's this one...

One of Troy's early cars was featured in a national fast food restaurant commercial. What restaurant, what car, and who was the country singer featured in the spot?

race-rodz 12-07-2005 09:10 PM

TACO BELL...THE BUICK...."BUMUNGOUS" was i think it was

Autokraft 12-07-2005 09:12 PM

Race rods, Dude you beat me to it.

Bill, I think the impala was number two but I can't say 100%

I e-mailed my address.

Thanks again

Kurt

V8TV 12-07-2005 09:21 PM

Yes, but who was the singer?

Autokraft 12-07-2005 09:25 PM

Alan Jackson?

V8TV 12-07-2005 09:29 PM

The correct answer is T. Graham Brown. Not that anybody cares.

Interesting story on that commercial... when they were shooting the driving shot with the model eating the taco, the Buick's hood left the vehicle and went sailing off into the dusty Palmdale air...

Some crews have no respect...

shania, faith, and i know there are a few others....but the names fail me

V8TV 12-07-2005 09:43 PM

I'm not into country music myself, but several years ago we were producing a segment on Troy for Hot Rod TV, and I wanted to include that spot in the piece. Taco Bell gave us permission, but they told us we had to get a release from the model and the singer. Apparantly, Mr. T. Graham Brown is a Nashville bigshot, and we couldn't afford to pay the music rights to show the spot.

Some laywers ruin all the fun!

Eddie Hill's right, but I thought it was a 4.93?

V8TV 12-07-2005 10:01 PM

You're probably right... too many "88"s in my head.

907rs 12-07-2005 10:03 PM

I googled it, I was wrong too. 4.99

How about some more, guys?
