Goodguys 2011 Giveaway car, Project CleanAire 55. You could own this car.
 

Well we were asked by Goodguys earlier this year if we would be interested in doing the giveaway car for Goodguys in 2011. I thought about it for a while and came up with a multispoked game plan and if any of these points could not happen. Ironworks was not interested.
1) It had to a Tri-5 Chevy to display our Tri-5 Chassis we are working to make available to the public. What great advertisement?
2) They had to let me out source the paint and interior work to Kenny Davis @ Kenny Davis Hot Rods and Tracy Weaver at the Recovery Room. Since we don;t paint or sew we had no choice.
3) We had to use an EMI 55 Chevy convertible body, Because Kenny and I had heard on may occasions that they are really nice pieces. Brand new means no rust, and seriously, what do you have to do to a 55 chevy Convertible to make it cool.
4) Since it would be and Aftermarket body and Chassis, and the guys from GM have wanted us to use there new E-rod engine to power a vehicle for since they unveiled the engine at SEMA last year.
5) And we had to get the body pretty early in the process so we did not have to Thrash to get this car done.

I know it almost seems like cheating.

All Joking aside. This is going to be one sweet ride with the three amigo's teaming up together. I remember just a year ago Kenny telling me at Columbus it would be cool to do a project in collaboration with an Ironworks chassis. :thumbsup: for pulling this off Rodger

Well since we got the body friday. Not very far. But the chassis is built and we have the engine.

Back to this, Kenny D has the car now and is getting body and paint work handled, I'm heading down to his shop this weekend to check progress and get my parts list put together. I will take some pics will I'm there and get them posted. The Mustang has been given a new home to some lucky person, Now its time for this one to get going.:thumbsup:

Roger I got to see this frame @ the Scottsdale Goodguys show and it really is a shame it has to be covered up...That thing was a work of art.

So Rodger, Tracy, and Kenny will be together at the shop this week.
I don't think much will be getting done.

No , I was there on Fri and Sat after Thanksgiving, Rog will be there this weekend coming up. Were taking turns bothering King Davis, I don't think he could take us both being there at the same time. They are doing a great job, Paint looks fantastic.

The work setting this pic was taken in also suits him far better than the 'porn pools' at party central in Vegas. :rofl:

The centers are a Titanium Ceramic, the hoops are Ceramic Black.

Well it's time for an update
 

Kenny got the body a few weeks before SEMA and I delivered a powder coated chassis to him at SEMA to haul back to his shop. He has been had at work painting the car and getting it reassembled in the past 2 months. It is looking great. We decided to paint the entire engine orange to go with the factory theme. We are still trying to hide and improve the look of some of the emission equipment stuff that "HAS" to be on the car. But it is looking good. Kenny drove it for the first time today. Tracy is "HOPING" to get the car by mid January.

Today is Big Day for Kenny, He load pics on Photobucket all by himself. And bought and New camera. I hope to get some more pics from him in the next week. He drove the car today and did not crash it. HAHA
