New guy here with a dodge challenger
Hi everyone... I don't see to many challengers so I decided to join.
My car is pretty stock with the addition of srt dodge seats, asanti 3 piece wheels and a few mods. I'm doing a black with a flat black scheme. It would be a dream to get a new hemi in there but I'm on a budget since I'll be divorcing soon :( so I'm shooting for reliability and very cools looks at a budget... Basically a nice driver. I'd like to post some pics but I'm on my iPhone so if anyone would volunteer to post em up for me that would be great so I could get some feedback. Thanks everyone and I hope your all well.. |
Welcome. Sounds like a cool project.
If you send the pics to Scott, (XcYZ) one of the moderators here, he can help you out with the pics. By the way, you might like this link: https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=13378 |

Wow it's for sale?! With this divorce going in I doubt I could afford anything like that any time soon.... I really wanted a cuda I don't know why I settled for a challenger but I guess it could have been worse |

4thechallenge,
Thanks for sending me the pictures. I'm posting them for you. |
thanks for posting the pics.... I'd like to hear feedback if possible:faint:
|
how involved was it to put the srt seats in your challenger? I have a chally also and was looking to put those seats or modify some recaros out of a mitsubishi evo 9.
|
Id 90 to have them wired, and about 500 to have them installed because he had to do some welding... I almost flipped when I saw the bill because I was not expecting that much but according go the shop it was some work... But I'm happy with then I just wish the steering wheel was tilt
|

Do u have any info on that charger... Thanks |
I spoke to the owner/builder for a few minutes at the Spring Fling @ Woodley park this year, he told me a little about it.
When I spotted it from a ways off and walked up to it, I said to myself: "Ok, SRT-8 wheels..... and buckets..... and REAR seat.... and engine.... hold the phone, hey what's with the shock towers?!?! Ohhhhhhhhhhh" He said the SRT car was totalled out for roof damage or something so it made a perfect donor for the body swap. I might know how to find him if necessary, I am in the CPW club that puts on the show. |

dont have a thread, but my car has a 440 sixpak with some motor work done crane cam lifters, rocker rollers,,b-cool radiator, wilwood master cyl., dual diaphragm boster still waiting on aluminum heads(either 440 source or eddys). A tremec tko 600 5 speed is hooked up to a moser dana 60 with 3.91 gears. wilwood 6 piston 13 inch drillled/slotted rotors up front, wilwood 4 piston 12" drilled slotted rotors in the back. The front suspension is a tubular magnumforce front clip with QA1 adj coilovers, nascar style swaybar. rear has lowered eaton springs withQA1 adj shocks. The car is going to be taken down to the frame in september for paint, body, gussets, welding of factory seams, frame reinforcement, and a custom 4 link. The Rushforth rated-x wheels are 20x10 rears, 19x8 fronts wrapped in nitto invo rubber.

Cool car very cool car .... U should post a thread and update
|
The black paint scheme gets a lot of attention. I'm kinda concerned that you said you had to settle for a Challenger- I have always preferred this body style, but to each his own I guess. I've settled for mine for the past 28 years, and couldn't be happier. I hope it grows on you.
|
Carsavior don't get me wrong I love the car but if I could do it again I would get a cuda. I've always wanted a cuda since I can remember but I'm happy with the challenger. I just hope pretty soon illl be able to drive it... Hahah
