Name the Barracuda Project !!
 

I'm just a posting fool today :)

Okay... so in conforming to the lastest trend, I need/want to come up with a name for my '70 Barracuda project. I'm hoping it will help me stay motivated..

So any idea ????.... Sick Fish is taken :)

troy had another one for the cuda I remember it from the rides show I will think of it in a minute!

Got a color in mind?

Not sure on the color yet... thinking a two tone with silver bottom half and either a purple or maroon top section. subtle graphics between..

But you know how color choices go.... that may change a million times before its done...

On the flip side of that..I was thinking about putting a Hemi in the 55 & call it "Hemolet"

Or upholster it with brown burlap and call it "the Monkfish". The powertrain would need to be something austere and very very quiet (shhh!)

The overall style is gonna be mostly "typical" Pro-touring..... I'm planning on either air bag (not convinced on the whole handling performance, they're claiming now, but would love to be able to slam it to the ground and still be able to drive it on the street) or coil over... want it to be low and mean... 18's front 19's rear (looking for big, but not over powering big).... big brakes......shaved door handles and side markers.... AAR hood and rear spoiler.... probably two tone paint (not sure on colors) with some mild graphics inbetween.....motor=would love to go Hemi, but may go 440 (supercharge or turbo is a must, one way or another :))

Obviously the project is bran new and my ideas will evolve as time goes on a $$ dictates...... dont want to use any names with colors etc just in case that changes......

I like Twisted Fish...... my wife wants this car to be an automatic so she feels more comfortable driving it. I'm partial to manual cars, but you know how that goes.....

Blow Fish would have been cool since I want to supercharge it.....

i know that the barracuda is supposed to be the "tiger of the sea"... so maybe you can run with that.

and maybe if you wanna go with something non-cuda related, you could go with "torpedo"... just cuz its a water based missile... i dunno. just an idea.

good to hear you finally got a cuda. Sorry on the delayed reply on the other car. I have been out of town for over 2 weeks. Look forward to hearing progress on this car. I imagine it will be one great car after seeing your detailed work on the Camaro.

That's the same conclusion I came to when I tried naming my car :lol:

I could never think of any (good) names for mine either. Names like Chicayne and the Mule were already taken. :D

Since it's going to be in the weeds, how about Catfish?

im not really all for car names, but it does come in handy for personalized tags, in oregon we can have 6 letters and a hyphen(sp) so was thinkin the obvious "RCE-RDZ" or "WNA RCE"... but if all else fails..."SHT BOX" or "FCK HED" will work too :D

maybe i should just stick with the original plan of finding a vintage '34 oregon plate
