Interesting Ebay item

Can you spot the Lateral-g member's ride photos that these knuckleheads have used in their listing?

Wow...These guys can build anything!

The ironic thing is that this isn't the first time this member has been victimized in the same manner.

race-rodz 12-23-2005 12:29 AM

hmmmmm maybe its just me...but if im trying to drum up work via pics of cars.... i might actually use pics of cars i had atleast "something" to do with.

71Nova 12-23-2005 02:30 AM

71 Nova

I was over at Global West about a month ago and noticed they had a picture of that car set as wallpaper on one of thier computers!

Steve Chryssos 12-23-2005 05:39 AM

The musclecar craze has officially entered the silly season. Next we will be seeing a TV show where they build the "Liberty" tribute Camaro, the NY Jets Camaro and the Firefighter Camaro complete with a chrome ladder on the roof.
Excuse me while I shed a tear.

Smack_talker 12-23-2005 05:41 AM

I live a hour from that place. If you guys want, I'll go take pics of what they have. Could be interesting.

Steve Chryssos 12-23-2005 05:46 AM

Good idea. Dress up in gold chains and a pinky ring so they don't get suspicious. Ask them about duplicating that blue LS1 car.

Clockwork 12-23-2005 06:53 AM

OMG I want one

I sent an email to these honest Joes' asking for more details and pics of that fine blue 69', and how do I get one just like it.

I asked them how long & how much did it take to build that! Oh boy oh boy where do I sign!

We'll see what they have to say

Happy holiday's Everyone! :captain:

People never cease to amaze me!
Steve does attract more than his fair share of greasy car guys!
I don't know if I would be flattered or pissed. Probably a little of both.
I wonder how many people will get duped by an ad like that.

Scott

Isn't that like the 10th time Steve's car has been pictured on ebay. Its a dam good looking car but I like Penny better, more my style.

Jody this reminds me of the time I was handed a business card at a swap meet from some schleprock, which had your Horton rendering on it....

69Nova 12-23-2005 09:31 AM

My computer is slow and it only loaded some picures of the table and Steves blue car. Thats kinda sad when you basicly steal pictures to help promote your business. Makesyou wonder how they run there business.

That's ok.. I actually DID work with GW and use thier parts.. plus I am friends with Kevin over there. They also put the car in thier catalog (and I heard they are making a t-shirt with the car on it)

Anyways.. I sent the ebay guy an email saying they had till the end of the day to remove my images or I would have Ebay shut down the auction.

I reminded them they have had nothing to do with the builds of EITHER of my cars..

Does thier stuff suck so bad that they have to use pics of other peoples stuff?

lol

Oh well, guess I should take it as a compliment.. :)

Visit their website yet? All of their sales info states 69 Camaro, yet they say that they are buying 67-69 Camaros. That, to me suggests that they are converting 67/68's to 69 sheetmetal and trim.

Man, that's a lot of work...The front clip of course is the "easy" part, but...new doors, new rear quarters...and everything else too...Jeez... We are at a point now where it seems people will do just about anything...I have a 69 roller outside which I just chained to the axle of my fifth wheel travel trailer, for fear of it disappearing...

Clockwork 12-23-2005 01:23 PM

Give em' hell Steve

Here's the response I received from the guy, of course no details of the build...

Dean,

Thanks for the email.

We are done for the year but your email sounds strong. We really don’t have anymore time for projects this year. We are preparing for the Barrett Jackson show in January. If you are 100% serious about placing an order than you may call us. You can call Joey Grimes the Sales Director at 727-967-2019.

rwhite692 12-23-2005 02:04 PM

Oooohhhh they have a Sales Director...!
