DSE Trip

Went to DSE last over the weekend. I want to thank all the staff at DSE for the hospitality and fun on my trip. They always go the extra mile to make it enjoyable. First class facility and people.

The car fabrication, parts and engineering going on there are just awesome to see. Hopefully everyone will get a chance sometime to check out their facility.

Took a drive in the new Nova test car with their new suspension. Wow, that car is fast and alot of fun. It's a whole different car from the stock days. I look forward to seeing that car on the track, it is going to surprise some people.

Thanks Kyle, Stacy and all.

sounds great Stuart. Can't wait to see yours done. The DSE crew is top notch. Here's a couple more pics from Stuart. One of the Nova, and the second I believe is DSE's shop.

That's almost a sleeper! What does it have for a motor?

Their open house during Charlotte Goodguys is one of my favorite events. I haven't been able to make it for a few years though. :(

I stopped by to visit them on my way back from Florida this past December. Kyle and Stacy both dropped what they were doing to show me around the new shop, talk about the projects, and new product development. It meant a lot to me that they are willing to stop and take the time to show me around, since I know they are both extremely busy.

There are some nice shops and really great people in this hobby. The crew at DSE ranks right up there with the best that I've seen.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the Chevy II is running a Mast LS7 427.

Kyle started it up under their awning at Columbus and it sounds healthy!

Very nice. I'm really digging that Nova. That thing looks bad ass!! They turn out some killer cars at DSE! Thanks for the pics.

That nova looks great. Love those Schott wheels.

Stuart Adams 08-25-2010 07:39 AM

Motor is a Mast 427 I think. 650 or so hp. The car is a kick. Definately a sleeper. I couldn't believe how it pulled. Very cool car.

Stuart, Buddy. Explain to me how you can go all the way across country to see one of the top shops and only share one pic. Jody who it sounds like did not even join you on this adventure, shared more pics then you. Come on Stuart we are your boys here on Lat-g. I know you took more pics then 3.

What is that old saying?....

I'm so dumb I can't even post pics yet. Thank goodness for Scott and Jody, maybe at SEMA they can give me a crash course.

I do want to come by your place on my way to Sac some day.

So explain how a guy gets a high power white collar job as a moderator and can't post pics.

Well just let me know when. I here only 12 hours a day so you odds are only 50% I will be here when you come by.

If you needed a sneak peak, you could come to Pleasanton this weekend and see what seems like half the cars we have been working on for a while. We will have 3 bare metal projects there is weekend. I hope it does not rain.

coolwelder62 08-25-2010 08:21 PM

Roger, after seeing this I had this crazy idea last night to grab the wife jump into the car after work today and head down to the Pleasanton show this weekend. Pretty good show? Do you or anyone on the board know of a good reasonably priced place to stay in the area? Phone number? Probably leave here (Seattle area) about 7:00pm tonight, spur of the moment thing, whata life. Greg, see how it's done, kinda expect to see you there after you read this:lol:, seein' how I can't manage to run into you in this area, and we're practically neighbors.

Dude! LOL

I just drove in from Portland 5 minutes ago (went down for the Beaches Wednesday gathering at PIR)... to arrive just in time to slam the BadMad into the shed before the monsoons hit. If I had half a brain - since I was already in Portland - I would have just kept heading south!

However, my MIL arrives tomorrow - and it's her 85th B'day - While I can survive many car 'mishaps' - I don't think my wife would allow me the luxury of missing this "event". Otherwise - I'd be in Northern California for sure.

Spoken in the same vane as the movie "The Graduate"....

DSE is a first class operation and the shop is pretty impressive to see.

If I ever hit the lotto I'm having them build me a car. Not only for thier attention to detail but I just love the look of thier stuff.
