New wheels for the Mustang

Thanks to Jon and Justin from DriverzInc for getting these to us in time for RTTH. We mounted them tonight and we are leaving tomorrow morning.

They are Vintage wheel works V45's 17x9's with a 4" bs all the way around. Tires are Nitto NT05 255/40.

Before and after
These were 15's. We needed something with a softer compound and no 15" tires were soft enough

with the 17's...

Its stock control arms, with the lowered upper control arm mounts (similar to the guldstrand mod), drop springs, and koni shocks. The front and rear fenders were flared and stretched a little. :unibrow:

The old tires were 265's and they didn't rub at all. We still have 2" of room in the back but it's nice to be able to rotate the tires.

The rear is reversed eyed multi leafs with a watts link and koni shocks.

Excellent choice:thumbsup: ...just curious why you didn't choose the straight-spoke V40's with that year Mustang.

Either way,looks killer.

Looks good. I would like to get some more information on your set up, I am running 225/45/17 and 245/45/17. The fronts rub and I'd like wider in the rear.

Love the bigger V45's on there! Wanting a set for myself...or the V40's...can't decide. Hahaha.

It was a tough decision but we just liked the look of curvier spokes.

It still has a stock slow ratio box, most of the suspension components are original. The only thing done to increase clearance was the lip was cut out and the fender flared. It also has 1 3/4 degrees - camber right now so that might help with clearance to the outer lip? So far it goes lock to lock with to touching, We will see how it does with heavy driving at RTTH

 it looks bad a$$!!!!! I have some ? For you, what size was the wheels/tires on your old set up. Is the front and back 4" bs on the new 17" VWW? How big are the fender flares? How much room do you have on the inside? I'm looking at running 17x9 VWW 48 in front and 17x9.5 out back on my 67 mustang so any info will help.
