That is a bad ass car for sure. Price seems very fair.

awr68 09-25-2010 01:05 AM

That's great to hear....hope it works out! Is he a member here?

coolwelder62 09-25-2010 08:37 AM

I don't know he said he found out who I was by talking to a few of the people in cal.I will send an email an ask him. A friend of mine said to look at BJ scottdale if the deal falls though.

awr68 09-25-2010 09:33 AM

Your car stands out from the rest, in a good way! BJ might be a good place for it! How fun would that be if it brought crazy money!

Matt@BOS 09-25-2010 10:29 AM

Good luck! I hope it sells. The car really has a presence in person that you can't capture in photos. When I saw it at Optima it looked like the fastest car there, even when it was parked.

Matt

coolwelder62 09-25-2010 02:07 PM

Thank's Matt:thumbsup: those are the coolest words I'd had said about the car. That really make's me feel great. A guy here's something like that and he think's in the back of his mind maybe I should keep it.Thank you. Scott.

skatinjay27 09-25-2010 02:55 PM

i concur matt, i remember at the optima challenge no matter who i was talking to every time that car was on the track, auto-x or just siting still who ever i was talking to at the time always made a comment like "i love that car" when it went by even when talking to blake and roger from killer kustoms... and of course tyler always seemed to have a look in his eye when he saw it like he was plotting on how he would jump it it and drive off!!

coolwelder62 09-27-2010 05:44 PM

The buyer on my car has backed out.So now that I have made up my mine to sell I will keep looking for the right person. The worst thing that could happen is I get to keep my car. Thanks so much for all the real nice coment's.Scott Mock.

Which I guess that mean's setting a price below the bild cost (part's-materials) no labor. So now that I have made up my mine to sell I will keep looking for the right person. The worst thing that could happen is I get to keep my car. Thanks so much for all the real nice coment's.Scott Mock.

considering the car, that isn't a terrible worst case scenario!

and not that it needs to be said, but i wouldn't budge on that price at all. whoever picks it up is getting an awesome deal.

War 09-27-2010 06:25 PM

I agree, Way to nice of a car to give away Scott.

GregWeld 09-27-2010 06:42 PM

I agree with them Scott -- don't let that car go below your asking. It's just way too cool.

X 3, how many other cars like ours have 315's in the front. There is alot of style and innovation in that car. I know your dying to get some cash for your next build but less than 70K just doesn't sound right. Be patient. I just dont see it not happening.

He never left it alone long enough for me to try and steal. I was soooooo close.

Tyler

coolwelder62 09-28-2010 02:11 PM

Tyler if someone were to drive off in it, insurance would pay more than the last guy wanted to.

I cross posted your ad to Corner-Carvers, and PT.com to help get more eyes on it. If I had the cash I would be driving that thing to work everyday.

Jr 09-29-2010 10:46 AM

Here is video of the 69 that I shot at Optima last year.

The detail inside this Camaro is SICK!

Fast forward this video to the 40 second mark.

Josh69 09-29-2010 11:33 AM

I agree with everything that has been said, that car speaks for itself, the right buyer would gladly pay the price. This car is big boy sh!t, and it's going to take a swinging set to pony up, strap in and use it, IMHO, but that guy is out there. I wouldn't move an inch on it unless absolutely necessary. Your car is one of my all time favorite first gen's, it's top notch, and truly a unique and inspiring build...something that isn't easy to do these days.

BTW, Scott made me a splitter just like this one for my Firebird. I haven't installed it yet, I plan on it soon after seeing these pics and vids again!

coolwelder62 09-29-2010 04:14 PM

Josh when you get your splitter mounted up send us an email. And thank's so much for those great word's:thumbsup: .I should pay you to write up my ebay ad.DJW32 the video's awesome thank's I had never seen those before.:thumbsup:Scott.

Flash68 09-29-2010 04:21 PM

Damn, that thing sounds so bad ass and pissed off.

I looked on your Feature page but didn't see any specifics on exhaust... can you tell me what it consists of?

coolwelder62 09-29-2010 05:11 PM

It's 3inch stainless steel kit from pypes performance w/x pipe. Muffers are pypes performance violator's.It's wraped w/ 2 inch wide exhaust wrap all the way to the rear but the muffers.I picked the whole kit up from jegs for $480.00 plus the shipping charge. Some like the sound other's don't.It really sound's great at 6500-rpm when you are on the back stretch at heartland park topeka.I like it so well I have the same exhaust for my new 72 camaro project.Thank's for all the great word's.If you guy's keep telling me how great the car is I may just keep it.

Rybar 09-29-2010 05:24 PM

Scott, Keep it and beat on it :unibrow:

Van B 09-29-2010 06:47 PM

I remember looking at your build thread and being very impressed with the car. Just watched the videos. Definitely cool. That should be a fair price. Have you listed it on ebay yet? Are the numbers and the lettering vinyl (removeable)?

coolwelder62 09-29-2010 07:05 PM

I have not listed it on ebay yet. Afraid I will get a million email's and no real bidder's.The number's & lettering will come right off w/ low heat gun & some repolishing. And carpet and AC could go right in.And could also fit some quieter muffers also.I guess I could take trades or offer financing to the rigth customer. :lol:The photo's that Mr. Tyler posted are from optima, the R1's are not on it any more the PS2's are back on now.

Vegas69 09-29-2010 10:10 PM

I've always loved the car. When I layed eyes on it last year at the Optima Challenge, it took it to a new level. Tastefully done. That takes alot coming from me.
