I will toss up some killer shots tomorrow.. except the one will be runnin' big in our magazine. There were 104 cars in his class so winning is quite a big deal!! He was so excited he texted me at dinner.. we left early to shoot a car. |

Congrats Kurt, 110 car win is a big one.

Congrats. Sounded like he beat Masengil (sp?) in the final. If that was Judson from S.A.M. that is huge as well. He is one of the pioneers of LSX performance.

Very nice Kurt! Congrats. That's one fast Camaro.

Nothing like watching a 69 launch with its tires up in the air!
Congrats Kurt  Quote:

Saving the best shots for the magazine.. but this give you an idea of how the car launches.. lol
Bad track to shoot out.. sun was always behind the cars :( http://i54.tinypic.com/34rirly.jpg |
Ya thanks everyone. Long drive home still cant believe it. I went down with a new motor and only had a couple runs on it from the previous week. After data logging those runs we changed up a few things on the fuel map. My tuner drove down from northern Ill on friday and loaded up a new tune and the first hit I went 10.35 at 2675 Dens Altitude in 87Deg heat. It was pretty hot but after adding a couple hundred pounds to the car we were able to hit the 10.50 index.
It was a great weekend and had alot of people coming over and introducing themselves so it was great to meet everyone. The kid I raced in the final had won the Trick Flow 235 cylinder heads at the LSx party thursday nite. If he had won, he would have also won the new LSX block from GM Performance parts but luckily for me I was able to run dead on my index for the win and I won the LSx Block! Hell ya!! Lots of Badass cars down there! Yeah Steve Rupp even came over to me in the staging lanes and jacked me up a little. lol Nice pic BTW!!! I wanna see some more! Thanks everyone! |
Wow!!!.............Great Job Kurt......................
