My new Forgeline wheels are done.. and on the way..
 

Can't wait to get them wrapped in rubber and on the car.

We used blind Titanium fasteners to knock off a few pounds. Dave at Forgeline sent over this teaser picture.

Thought I would change it up a bit.. I still have the other wheels.

And it's fairly easy to powder the centers of these gunmetal down the line if I want. I felt the bright machined centers on these would look great with the prowler orange.

I think they look awesome Steve and will make your car color pop. Wait till you get an action shot of them underneath Penny...!

I hear ya. Always easy to change that. I just feel that your orange is one of the perfect colors to complement gunmetal, that's all.

Gonna look nice. Of all the wheels you have had I like these the best. I agree the polished will look great against the orange.

Two.. I sold the 17s when I found they no longer fit my suspension.. I sold the WC3s when I bought these and my 5-spokes are not my "track wheels"

That new DS3 wheels will look killer on Penny. Should really bring out the paint with the new HTM finish.

True.. but the spoke profile and how it melds into the hoop are quite different.. both at split 5-spokes and the finishes are the same'ish

In person they are stunning.. I hope to have weights soon.. these have the hidden Ti fasteners.

Hurry steve, the forgeline sale ends soon. I need weights!!

It didn't happen just once either... we threw the old ones on first, but decided the new ones looked better.

I will say though, the finish on the new wheels really needs to be seen in person. It picks up some blueish light reflections from the natural machining, and just has a really brilliant hue when walking around the car.

Front wheels weighed in at 21.9 lbs
Rear wheels came in at 24.7 lbs

Keep in mind this was with a bathroom scale.. should be close though

She looks deceptively.... nice with those wheels on. I'm with the others on the GM centers. I even liked the brushed hoops. What size tires did you end up with?

X2...I dug the gunmetal look against your paint,that was my fav to me...never been a real fan of shiny wheels...but they do look good.

Me too.. but for a year I can have a different look.. next year might be these wheels with GM centers.. it keeps me from getting mored.

But I think I will stay with the polished hoops.. I've always liked the look and with the clear powder they are as easy to maintain.

Now the car is so "showy" that people will lulled into a false sense of security.. :_paranoid
