Very Nice 1st Project.

Tell us your plans ? How long have you had it ?

Also is that an Elcamino under the cover and what is the other car ?

Are they all yours ? Projects ?

Good luck

Frankenstine 11-22-2010 08:53 PM

Thanks, I bought it last year from a friend that didn't want to spend the $$ to fix it and make it rite, it's in storage rite now, but the plans are, DSE mini tubs, DSE Four link, 9' ford rear, Baer or Wilwood brakes, DSE upper and lower arms, maybe a DSE speed three kit with coil overs, DSE spindles, AMD replacement metal, it has a 383sbc in it now but I will change it to a ls3 or ls7 eventuly, TKO 600 or T56 tranny, (Auto now),forgeline VR3P's, and a decent paint job, Hope I can get started on it sometime next year. As for the cars in the background they belong to the guy who owns the garage, the one under the cover is a 50's vette, and the other car I'm not sure of.

tubbed69 10-29-2013 08:06 AM

Keith just go to project and start a new thread unless one of these guys can move it.

Frankenstine 10-29-2013 09:09 AM

Frankenstine 10-30-2013 06:26 AM

Thanks

Hey Thanks Sieg, I will have to think of a name for the project, hopefully it wont take to long to figure one out:bang: Thanks Keith

rchaskin 10-30-2013 08:22 AM

All I know is, I bet that car was sexy with the red metal flake on it!! I would call it "Project Disco"

LOL, I saw it at Holohans this year.
You are making some good progress.

I am friends with Teri and her husband.
We need to get together sometime. I have the blue Nova with the white top.

Later.

Randy

Excited to see the project thread. Good luck with the name. Been trying to think of a "good" name for mine for over a year. Left it without a name for now!

William

Frankenstine 10-31-2013 12:20 PM

Hey Randy, yeh know what you mean on the bass boat red color lol, I also went to DSE, Terri said you guys were there, I seen your Nova, I like it a lot.
you gonna let Dan do the tubs on your Nova? Thanks Keith

Frankenstine 10-31-2013 12:28 PM

Thanks

Hey William, yeh the project name is gonnna be tough, been thinking all day, might not name it, maybe just post up the updates and name later if I can. it's a long term project, 3-5 yrs, it is getting really expensive :G-Dub: so for the name I have quite a bit of time to come up with one.
:thankyou:
Keith

Hi Keith

What every you do - don't strip the paint or sand it in any way. Just start collecting your parts and putting them on the car.

Once the car is complete - drive it make sure it works then blow it apart and paint it. Especially if your planning to do this over the 3 to 5 years.

ps - I love the color and wouldn't change it a bit.

Thanks.
I cant decide on taking this car to the next level, or starting with a totally different car.........
This one is so much fun, I hate to change it.

Holohan could definately handle it though. Absolutely unbelievable craftsmanship.

I feel your pain on the money part, I could have paid for half a house for what I have into mine and I just started it. It will be worth it, keep it up...

Jay Hilliard 11-02-2013 07:19 AM

Time for some pics

Glad to see you started a thread. Give me a call sometime. PM sent

WSSix 11-02-2013 11:25 AM

Man all you guys in western NC are making me really hope I get this job I'll be interviewing for. Gorgeous area and places to drive plus people to hang out with.

Frankenstine 11-04-2013 05:55 AM

Thanks

Thanks Marty, Unfortunately the car does not look like these photos any more. Me & Dan Holohan @ Holohans Hot Rod Shop, went over the car when I took it to him, and decided that it needed a lot of sheet metal love
so we made the decision to get it basted and that reviled the need for panel replacement, as for the paint it had been the bass boat color from the previous owner (suppose to have been a show car lol) then the earl shife red paint was put over that, ( total fail) anywho I will post up updated picks when I get them from Dan (HHRS),
:thankyou:
Keith

Thanks Jay, Will do

Yeh Trey, NC is a nice area, not to mention that Mooresville/ Charlotte ( Nascar capitol of the US) is not far away, lots of talent/builders in the area,
for engine/frame/chassis/suspension/ work. :G-Dub:
:thankyou:

Thanks Guys, Got a lot of work ahead for Dan (HHRS) and my self but I will get there, The ideas keep changing with all the builds on this site, ended up selling the stock rear and sub frame, looking at DSE rite now but with all the other vendors offering subs n rears, and complete frames now that direction might keep changing, but I'm still quite away from any of those decisions for now,
:thankyou:
Keith
