65 mustang at EBMC

We wanted to share one of our "mild" pro touring builds with you. We had a customer come in last summer with a 65 Mustang coupe to do some upgrades on. It had been in the family for years and been sitting in a field in the midwest for alot of that time. After a check out, we found ALOT of rust the customer decided to go forward with repair and do a complete build since it had been in the family so long. heres some pics of the teardown.........

I thought everybody would like that! It was actually found when the seat platform was removed. So it was in a very confined space and the mouse or whatever it was, had to gain access through the seat bolt access hole that was missing a body plug!

Nice project! Interested in the front suspension, how low does it sit, and what size tires are you using, did you keep the leaf spring rear, any side pictures with the wheels? Sorry for all the questions, but I am really interested in this build.
Thanks Mike

waynieZ 06-11-2011 10:58 PM

That is Sweet!!! You do beautiful work.

EBMC 06-18-2011 04:32 PM

Thanks guys. I put about 50 miles on the car last night and had a blast! The customer picked up this morning. I'm probably going to do a little more fine tuning on the trans. controller after he puts a few miles on it but with leather interior, one touch power windows, power locks, tilt, air, great sound system and fuel injection, this car is a very tight, extrtemely enjoyable ride.

Incredibly clean build, nice and classy so it should look current for years to come. Love the interior, looks to have "audi" quality on the door panels (that is a good thing)

kttrucks 06-20-2011 06:24 AM

Speaking of door panels... who's trim panels are those? I love the design.. congrats if its yours, it really works...not too gimmicky. overall the execution is so crisp on that car, down to the stance. Im working on a first gen Coupe also, and yours is inspiring.

Very nice work! I hope your customer appreciates it... but I have a feeling he does!

KT.

john

EBMC 06-22-2011 10:30 AM
