Here's a few of the frame, and interior before disassembly. Oh and the pile of parts we started with.
The truck was started about 20 years ago buy the customer. He had Kugel Komponents install a front clip and Corvette independent suspension and run all the brake lines. To say the least things are about to change a bit. http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMG_4077.jpg http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMG_4078.jpg http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMG_4086.jpg http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMG_4085.jpg http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMG_4071.jpg |
Here's a few more.... Also the start of the disassembly.

So here's the start of some of the work on the frame. As you can see it pretty rough. The before shots

Here's one of the crossmembers that we wanted to close up to match the rest of the frame.

Good looking truck, this is my uncles 36 low cab. Mustang II front leaf spring rear, 420 HP crate engine. I always liked the body style.

Looks awesome Nick.

So as you can see the entire inside of the cab is structured with wood. One of the main reasons you dont see very many 30's chevy pickups and cars. So our first step was to replace all the wood with sheetmetal and replace all the rust also. Here the start of the left and right side of the floor structure.
We built it out of 16G cold roll sheet. Bent an angle then caped it and stiched in angels top and bottom to add strenght. http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMG_4498.jpg http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMG_4500.jpg http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMG_4499.jpg The drivers side tacked into place. http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/DSC_0699.jpg http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/DSC_0700.jpg The back edge of the cab corner http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/DSC_0711.jpg Front edge tacked to stock floor http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/DSC_0712.jpg Here's both sides tacked into place. http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/DSC_0709.jpg |
Very nice that will stiffen it up.
