GT 500 Pro Tourer
I think we are far enough along on this one to make it interesting for everyone, well maybe not everyone after all its not a Camaro.
This is a genuine non orig numbers GT 500 Shelby and we are gunna cut into it, I can here the purists screaming now!. this will run a shelby alloy 427 block with blue thunder heads heads and TWM/Borla injection 6 speed tremec Magnum,TCP suspension front and rear, Baer 6s brakes, the customer has asked us to remake all the Original shelby fibreglass in metal.and end up with a fit and finish to rival his high end cars. Bit of a challenge, lets see. Sorry if this is abit boring to start with. http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/r...elby_front.jpg http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/r...R/DSC_5646.jpg http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/r...R/DSC_5755.jpg http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/r...R/DSC_5975.jpg0TOURER/DSC_5966.jpg[/IMG] |

cool
like the side scoops need to tell your guys that they installed the steering wheel on the Wrong SIDE!! :_paranoid |
:wow: :wow: :wow:
:faint: :faint: :faint: This will be a great project, I'll be watching this build for sure! I'm a Shelby purist, but I can't help to think of what would have happened if Shelby had his hands on our modern technology when he were building these cars. This will be a fine example of that mystery! |

Great job:hail: |
Really cool! I am a huge fan of the '67-'68 fastback body style, especially '68 GT500's. I see in the rendering though, that your going from the '68 Shelby nose to the '67?

How many hours do you think you will have into copying the fiberglass sheby parts in metal? I am just wondering how it would compare to buying the fiberglass. Great work. Scott.

OK update time, fabbed up the front last couple of weeks, lengthened the hood
3 inchs and fabbed a functional hood scoop, decided after welding on the front half of the hood (repro piece of CR***P) that I would fab the scoop in aluminum and bond it onto the hood. finished fabbing the front fascia, next Im onto the lower valance/ air dam then on its wheels to have a look outside at its profile. http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/r...R/DSC_7809.jpg http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/r...R/DSC_7820.jpg http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/r...R/DSC_7823.jpg http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/r...R/DSC_7824.jpg http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/r...R/DSC_7831.jpg |
