one hell of a gearhead's friday.
I had been sick for 3 days straight, couchridden with horrible pain. My pain comes in good days and bad days. I'm at about a half month good days and half in pain. It'll get better with a new doc and time. Today was amazing!
Started the day off at 7am with Phil Schmidt of PS engineering whom is not only one of the nicest guys I've ever dealt with, we share a lot in common. RC cars, track cars etc. 3 of my trans am style lugnuts were an odd size so I limped over there in the early morning. He didn't have any on hand. How does a real craftsman handle this? Make some real quick. Phil is an awesome guy. He also has a few toys around the shop! https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/__...208_101614.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/__...208_101520.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/__...225_070353.jpg Can am wheels? https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/__...225_070340.jpg mmmm shavings. Dane,
The wheels look great! Are those McGard lug nuts? I was so close to ordering those, went with V-40's with matte black spoke in 18" with the longer open lug nut, now I'm questioning my decision, Thanks a lot! :D Thanks for the gearhead photo tour too. |
X2 on the thanks for the tour!
Those wheels look perfect on your car Dane! By the way, how's the R1/Cooper project? (I have not been keeping myself up to date over the last year) |

I was looking right into his eyes too. I was livid. Its been in autobody/insurance/suspension jail for over 4 months now. :( https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/__...-51-41_975.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/__...-51-23_505.jpg I will be selling the car the moment it is done. Too many projects and put simply, this car belongs somewhere without cops and stoplights. I'd like to see it shipped off to dubai or japan or something |
or Columbus, Ohio :unibrow:
I would love to see how the insurance guys figure this thing out. BTW, the link says the video is private. Darren |
Crazy pics man! The new wheels look amazing as well!

Sounds like a great time. Part of why I love SoCal, always something car related going on.
