Nice car.

Can we see some of the turbo piping? Cold side and hot side pics would be great.

65_LS1_T56 02-28-2011 10:11 AM

Very Nice:thumbsup: working on a 65 too, just getting started, some good motivation here! Looks like a narrowed frame in the back?

94snglturbo 02-28-2011 10:13 AM

ya heres the turbo piping.. it was all custom made and with how tight it was in there this was are only resort with keeping the clean, stock look i know its not the best way to make the most power but with the look i wanted i wasnt looking for 1000hp or anything. its all sch 10 stainless. it spools very quick and has a great range i wanted a/c and the power steering where it is.. we didnt have to notch the frame or anything..

Piping looks clean!

Did you use a 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" pipe for the crossover? Do you have any pics from underneath the car? I curious how close you routed that crossover pipe to the trans?

You did one hell of a job!

That looks really cool man...love the clean install!

94snglturbo 02-28-2011 01:08 PM

i believe the piping is 2 inch and its about an 1inch or so from the tranny i'll have to get some pictures of underneath

waynieZ 02-28-2011 04:17 PM

Sick Chevelle, Ive always wanted to build a 64 or 65 just like the way you did yours. Low, sleek and classy!

1965_SS 03-01-2011 06:41 AM

Awesome!!!!:wow:
I used to have a 65' SS years ago and would love to get another one.
Your driving my dream car right there:thumbsup::bow:

Hey, that car looks familiar. Nice job on keeping the engine bay clean.

PASD U 04-22-2011 08:43 PM

Another 65 owner checkin' in to this thread! That car used to be my wallpaper. It's just a clean car, no matter how you slice it. Definitely going in a similar direction.

Who makes the new headlights?

New wheels? My vote is for Rushforths.

94snglturbo 05-09-2011 02:19 PM

thanx guys i got the headlights from a place in cali.. the ones in the car are better then those ones in the picture. the new ones are thicker glass and better material. the car is basically done.. just had the whole front end rebuilt with energy suspension bushings, cpp center link, new tie rods, sleeves etc new quick ratio steering box.

....is this the drivable ride height?

PASD U 05-09-2011 07:15 PM

Do you have details on them? Who makes them? I'm trying to find some new lights like those to replace the 46 units.

94snglturbo 05-10-2011 08:28 AM

banko- that was drivable ride height before the motor swap but after the swap i have a 4inch downpipe to 4inch oval exhaust piping now and it sits really close i could probabaly drive that low but if i hit a bump it would scrape. thats not even all the way down.. the fender sits right at the tire on the front for ride height and the back i can leave all the way down and drive if i want

pm sent to you on the headlights. since they are not part of this site i didnt know if i could post their info on here

PASD U 05-10-2011 04:16 PM

Thanks for the info. Usually not a big deal to post general information. Only time I see people catch grief is if they're trying to advertise without permission or SPAM. Thanks again.

Decided on with Rushforths (hint hint) you're going to get yet?:unibrow:

94snglturbo 05-13-2011 07:02 AM

havent deceided on what wheels yet.. im going to get the steering figured out first then go from there

PASD U 05-13-2011 07:48 AM

I'm sure it's something minor. Let me know what you find out.
