Hey guy's who's all going to the good guys in dallas this month and where is the best place to stay that's close to the speedway and a Hooter's.:lol:My son Kevin and I are coming down with his 69 camaro.Scott

I plan to be there with my buddy and both our freshly finished 69 Camaro verts. I forgot the hotel we stayed at in October, but it was only 4 miles away. Decent but not much for parking a trailer

There is a Hooter's about 20 minutes north in Denton. Here is a link to nearby hotels http://www.texasmotorspeedwayhotels.com/. I will be there walking around one day for sure.

Brian Finch and I will be down for the show with our cars and a 48' trailer,,,, I'd appreciate a good hotel that is close by the show if someone wouldn't mind chiming in with their thoughts/recommendations....

Most of the hotels within 15 miles are fairly new. Denton has built several new ones in the past few years right off of I-35. Denton is about 15 mins to the North of the track.

if i am over the drive to scottsdale show the weekend before, we will also be at texas .

I may make it up for this show as well, but unfortunately it would only be Saturday. This weekend is the big SXSW music festival here in Austin, hard to choose which great event to attend!

Sounds like a plan Scott Friday would be perfect,,,, see if anyone knows a good steak house or Italian??? Brain's flying out with Mark as well and we'll all arrive at various times (I'm driving in from Phoenix with the truck, trailer and cars) Thursday evening all things equal....

I know where both are and they are side by side and then the Hooter's is just about 1/2 mile from them. All in Denton. Scott, what town is your hotel? You can PM me if you want.

shannon were at the Hampton Suites 4mi from the track.

I am at the Hampton as well and will be in sometime Friday. Dinner sounds good

Looks like I won't be training this weekend after all so I'll see about making it out on Saturday morningish. Anyone meeting some place in particular for lunch that day?

Best place to eat is at the cafe just north of the vendor area, REAL food and one price to eat all day.

It's better to go/pay early & get more for your money too.

I'll be out there on Sat for sure.... prob won't make it out of work early enough tomorrow to make it worth going. The 64 Vette my buddy was working on was picked up today & they're bringing it to the show. Kind of a rest-mod type w/a clean stock-ish look, billet wheels, LS7, TKO-600, Wilwoods, cold a/c & a really nice interior.

Anyone here with a DSE equiped car running the autox? I'd really like to ride along. I think I'll be there in time for that event.

DSE has 2 cars there, Brian Finch is there, and probabaly a couple more

Just a suggestion.. Ya might wanna aske for a ride in the non dse car KEVINS 69, ITS GREY...IF YOUR THERE YOULL KNOW WHY..:thumbsup:

Kevin and I got in last night,Hooked up w/ Albert.Man what an awesome guy had a great visit and suds.Today headed over to the autocross had a great time time watching Kevin drive the crap out of his freshly finished 69 camaro.He's doing real well,missed a shift on his quickest run and he's a tenth behind Wheel master Brian Finch.Spent the day w/Shannon From Modo inovations and Matt from Anvil auto.Super nice guy's lot's of fun to hang out with.Kevin took Shannon for a ride he looked happy afterwards.Try to hook up wAlbert and Brian tonight.:thumbsup: Scott
