Extreme Powder Coating's 1965 C-10 "NO PAINT"
 

This '65 Chevy is Extreme's vision of a new shop truck. The point of this project is to powder coat every part to promote the advantages of powder coating over liquid finishes. We will start this thread from the very beginning! ENJOY! and STAY TUNED FOR DAILY UPDATES AND PHOTOS!

Found this truck on craiglist.

Subscribing, from a fellow C-10er'. I wanted a '66 so bad, but found a 68 instead for a great price. Plenty of pics, please? :cool: :cool:

Got the C-10 home, Carter Hickman Design did the artwork.

Cab mods by Roger Burman of Lakeside Rods and Rides - also we raised the tunnel for tranny clearance.

At the last Goodguys show there was some local boys out here in Phoenix that were running a few 63-66 short and long beds. These things were in the weeds. One was a primered green double cab. Another re-used the weathered wood that was in the bed. They just raised it up to clear the notched frame...

I was really digging on them. My fav is still a 60 with an Apache hood.

bed mounts - tailgate roll pan bumper combo - repaired the front fenders - tucked in the bumper for that nice tight look.

inner fender modifications - wheels by Delmo came into the shop - finished fabbing the grille - brake lines installed 100% - trim pieces - and set the wheels on to see how things looked before tires get mounted. We will be powder coating these wheels. Back sides of rims are Bengal Silver Metallic with Clear Coat, and fronts are done in Bengal White - STAY TUNED MORE PICS TO COME!!!!!

Tomorrow we will posting picture of the C-10 sitting low on the ground!

The Motor - Chevy 327 bored .030 10.5 to 1 2.02 Double Humps / lumpy Comp Cam / Comp Cam roller rockers / Vintage Mickey Thompson Valve Covers should be a fun ride with the T-56 6 speed and 3.73 gear

Greg, that door panel is so bad ass.... I love it. Cannot wait to see how the seat and console turn out!

Doors preped for powder coat. bare steel with clear flat powder coat and re-coated the trim around window with a white powder with flat clear topcoat. and we coated the door brackets anodized silver

carter on post 19 the door panel has a more finished look, but theyre not done yet lol

took two inner fenders to make one to cover the wheel - a lot of work being done on these inner fenders

WOW WORLD OF WHEELS!! The Extreme Powder Coating booth was packed all weekend. The C-10 caught a lot of attention - Lenny from Krazy Kolors laid down some pinstriping during the show!! We had a good time!

Strtlegal.... That was Delmo and Dino .... they hang out on the 67-72chevytrucks.com site ... I purchased the custom 20" and 22" Centerlines from Del. he modifies them to accept the GM poverty caps.

I really like the frame. Good choice on Nathan's stuff. You can't go wrong with his products. He makes some exceptional parts. :woot:

Yeah, his welds are awesome. He's building my rear C4 Dropmember as we speak. I already have the V3 tubular front one like you have on your truck, but the C4 version.

I purchased a c-4 rear suspension and AT tranny a month ago on a online auction site. I will be using it on my next c-10 project. :thumbsup:

The dash and door panels were done at Roger Burmans Lakeside Rods and Rides. 1961 Impala dash with Pinstriped Classic Inst. Gauges / Engine turning by Wiz.

why do we have to delete picture to post more pictures?? this sum of attachments thing is not cool!:willy:
anyways we have bead rolled panels for the bed of our truck, and also we chose an old school caddy air cleaner with pinstriping, we also have powder coated a bunch of parts, (v-track, push bar, ect.) and we set on the brushed aluminum trim pieces.
if anyone has suggestions on the "sum of attachments" thing that would be kool -
