The OPTIMA Batteries OneLapCamaro get a new look...
 

In December we reached out to a several prominent artists in the PT community with the hopes of having a contest to design a new look for the OPTIMA Batteries OneLapCamaro and at the end of the day four very talented individuals - Carter Hickman, Ben Hermance, Otis Black, and Nelson Michael - provided renderings for us. Unfortunately time and logistics kept us from running the contest that we had originally envisioned - race day is only six weeks away and we have a ton of work left to do - so we put the decision in the hands of our sponsors.

After a couple of weeks of careful deliberation I'm proud to unveil Carter Hickman's rendering and winning design...

Carter really hit this one out of the park and his rendering is heading to the wrap shop next week to be brought to life!

They're all good. Tough decision for the sponsors, but they made a good choice. :thumbsup:

The renderings look awesome James. I like the final choice.

Man all of those are sweet looking. I think the winning one has the best billboard for Optima though as it's the easiest to read.

I do believe the OLC has achieved a style points upgrade. The new look ought to shave a bit off your times for sure!:bow:

The car has never been to Thunderhill... but one day I would like to go to try to replicate Carter's rendering.

Yeah... We're going to running 19" rear tires for the One Lap this year so some new wheels were in the cards. HRE is building us a set of their Comp 93 wheels in matt black with brushed hoops. They should be here in a week or so!

Very cool! Will you also be going to a wider tire?

Narrower on the rear (325/30-19) but same on the front (275/35-18)

It's all about balance...not having the widest tire in the neighborhood! :yes:

Way cool . but I like Bens the best. He would have to move the logo more downward instead of wrapping the hood for appearance. Juist my my 2 cents. Either way they all look good and Im glad you and Optima hooked up for the long haul. Ive never met a more nicer person in this industry than Jimi and his AMX karaoke isnt too bad either:thumbsup:

I just can't wait to see the actually car at Thuder hill - where ever the hell that is.

It would just be cool to have an actual picture that matches the rendering from Carter.

The weather has been lousy since the wrap was finished last week but it stopped raining long enough for Mary to snap some pics between joy rides at the Fox Shocks facility yesterday...

Our new Baer 6R brakes arrived yesterday and will be installed in the next couple of days along with the ZR1 hubs that Blake and the guys at SpeedTech tweaked for us. We have the new Triple Adjustable RideTech coil overs installed in the back and the fronts will go on with the brakes. New wheels are on and the new Rick's Stainless tank with Carl's VaporWorx setup is doing it's job perfectly.

Three weeks until the Long Beach Grand Prix and then it's off to South Bend...

That has to be the best way to get a new car every year!!! looks great
