I am on the list! :woot: I have never liked the stockers.. I don't have springs on my garage door so why should I have them on my car.. :) |
Yea i allready got mine they are SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
 Wonder how hard it would be to make them work on my roadrunner
|
Mine Are Already on the UPS truck !! Woo Hoo a little spendy when you convert it to Canadian $ but what the hell it's only money Right???? sorry to scoop the first set but i did pay for them a month ago
|
Saw them yesterday - very nice. Need a GP :)
|
Got mine!
Datsbad (Jason Huber) from G Force Designs Concepts (new site sponsor)
installed them on my 65 Fastback. Jason discovered that one of the added bonuses is that these hinges provide a lot more adjustability for the hood fitment than the standard hinges. I have a fiberglass hood that did not quite fit perfect. The billet hinges allowed him to get a much better fit for the hood.. Perhaps he will posts some pics.. Scott |
Are these DSE produced or the one's the Ring Brothers came up with? Man they are cool, but spendy!

I see they're different from the ones that were at SEMA.

Ya I thought they looked a little different myself. Nice. |
thanks for the plug there Scott.
We have a couple sets of these and the adjustment is a great help on the mustangs . I dont believe the camaro hinges have that feature and yes they do look better than the ones at SEMA! |
Those things are freakin' expensive, Holy Cow! I love DSE's don't get me wrong but those things are crazy.

Also nice to see the radiator support closeout panel as developed on Stuart's car. Should be a popular item. |
I'm just curious are they going to make any that fit Chevelle's
|
I was ready to drop a grand (anybody remember that thread? LOL) and now I can get the hinges and the core support piece for free!!

I'd say they are well worth it- value is as value does. The stock hinges suck to keep detailed (ok- a very petty reason, but oh well).
Plus, it's $599 that goes toward an American company keeping Americans employed. Keeps me from buying $600 worth of crap at WallyWorld. |
Yea I agree 100% man!
|
I think DSE makes beautiful stuff and I'm all about spending cash on my car, especially when it is an American company. However cash is such a limited thing for me at this time, I just jumped a bit when I saw the price and thought "it's hood hinges". I've purchases some things from them and plan on buying more from them this summer.

I bet the hinges would look pretty nice annodized black. :unibrow:

Anyone have a picture of the new style other then the one at SEMA? Also are they as strong as the stock ones? Do you need a hood pole to hold up the hood? I would like to see one if anyone has a picture of the one DSE is selling. There website is not a clear picture.
Thanks |

It's hard to tell but are the ones being sold now made of aluminum? It almost looks like stamped steel or something? It's hard for me to tell.
|
Those two hinges are completely different.
