“Snowblind” TT 67 Camaro from EBMC
After I sold my Mustang, We were looking for the next shop car and decided to do a 67 Camaro to use at autocross events and as a demonstration vehicle for prospective customers. We found a suitable shell and had Ben Hermance do a rendering of what I had in mind and he applied some great ideas on it as well, this was over a year ago.
Well a customer came in, liked what he saw and bought the car and wants it done exactly like the rendering! So I still don't have a car of my own, but he will be taking it to many events and using it the way we wanted to. It will feature Art Morrison front and rear clips, 800 hp twin turbo LS3, T56 magnum, with triangulated 4 link in back. The car is getting vinyl wrapped in Satin grey, carbon hood with Satin clear, shaved drip rails, flush glass and Rushforth wheels in 2 tone. Everything is going the flat look and I know some people are going to love it and some people are going to hate it,but it was going to be my personal car and thats what I wanted! http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...orendering.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ouring/006.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ouring/010.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ouring/086.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ouring/085.jpg |
What an awesome renedering  Really like the look and sounds like you have a great plan. And for what it's worth I think the "satin" look is going to be killer :unibrow:

Really diggin all the design queues and color except for the magenta. Different for sure, just not my personal preference. My style would run closer to a flat red. Car looks great.

Thanks for the comments guys! It's a maroon metallic but I usually render the cars in a natural/outdoor environment with the blue sky reflecting some blue tones. That could be why it may appear Magenta. I can't wait to see this one completed. Thanks for the opportunity to help out!

Looks like a great project, would love to see this in progress, and see the rear clip installed.

Thanks everyone, the rear frame section fit the floor contour very good and combined with the front clip we have a full framed car.

Now that our 69 project is off to paint, were able to focus more time to our 67.
frame work for rear spoiler and bodyline added to rear valamce http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...uring/0215.jpg trans tunnel and center dash mods fabbed, building firewall now. http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ouring/007.jpg initial mock up of TT ls3, theres going to be a whole lot of plumbing under the Carbon fiber hood! http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...uring/0202.jpg |
Looking good.Trans tunnel is cool.
|
Steve that all looks great. That intake looks very nice in there (looks to be a precision metalcraft, right?) Did you have it anodized black, or ?
CF hood, are you sure it won't melt? I was thinking of getting one for my project but not sure about the high temps w/turbos...also in my case w/Iron Eagle SBC the weight savings = throwing a deck chair off the queen mary |
Nice update guys!
TT LS3 = much power and torque. How much power are you guys looking for from that engine set-up? |
Steve, that is killer man.... glad to see you back on that!

Steve are you planning for an intercooler?

Firewall complete. We were going to put some steps in it to give some design, but figured it would be busy enough under the hood with all of the plumbing and so we kept it smooth and simple
http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ouring/072.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ouring/101.jpg Next up is fitment of the radiator, intercooler radiator and AC condenser. These will be pushed forward to allow as much room as possible for turbo plumbing. It will all be tight, especially with the RS headlight doors. http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ouring/098.jpg |
Great updates guys. Keep'em coming.
|
The holidays are over and its time to get caught up! Weve been working on the front valance to figure how much room were going to have for pushing forward and packaging everything. (radiator, air induction, intercoolers, AC condensors ect ect )The RS doors create an even tighter package, but we'll figure it out.
The lower front valance is its own piece located with dowels to the spoiler corners http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ring/010-1.jpg template showing rough design with air intake in lower center. http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ring/006-3.jpg the fender will be carried to this line and the functional scoops will be trimmed back. http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ouring/008.jpg not much left of the original valance! http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ring/019-1.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ring/003-1.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ouring/014.jpg |

A turbo LS3 should move out pretty quick. She'll be a fast one for sure.
|
Man Steve that valence looks wild, nice job!
|
Thanks everyone! Were really excited to get this car out there along with our "Tenacity " 69 Camaro. I think it will be cool to see two Camaros with completely different build styles side by side.
